Villanova is one of the oldest Catholic Universities in Pennsylvania. It has produced many outstanding basketball players over the years who have relished a pretty successful NBA career.

Kyle Lowry - Miami Heat

The 2019 NBA Champion Kyle Lowry currently plays for Miami Heat. He played college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats for two seasons. 

The 6 feet tall point guard, Kyle was named Big East All-Rookie Team and was rated five stars by Rivals during his college days.

Lowry was picked by Memphis Grizzlies in the 2006 draft and played three seasons for Memphis. He was traded to Houston Rockets in 2009. 

Kyle joined the Toronto Raptors in the 2012 offseason after playing four seasons for Houston. He is even regarded as the greatest Raptors player of all time ahead of the legendary Vince Carter for his contributions to the team.

After spending nearly a decade with Toronto, the 6 times NBA All-star joined the Miami Heat via sign-and-trade in exchange on August 6, 2021.

Saddiq Bey - Atlanta Hawks

Saddiq Bey is a Villanova University notable alumni of the NBA. Saddiq played college basketball for the Wildcats from 2018 to 2020.

Growing up in an athletic background family, Bey was interested in basketball from the very early days. He played high school basketball at DeMatha Catholic.

247Sports rated him as a four-star recruit and ranked him the 83rd-best player in the class. After that, he signed with Villanova and was named to the Julius Erving Award in his sophomore season.

Saddiq finished fourth in Rookie of the Year voting on 2021.

Saddiq is the third Villanova player to win Julius Erving Award in the previous six seasons averaging 16.1 points, 4.7 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. 

After impressing college career, he was drafted by the Brooklyn Nets in the 2020 NBA draft and the following day Detroit Pistons signed him. 

Bey made a three-point shot securing a win for his team with a final score of 122 to 119 against the Golden State Warriors on January 4, 2023. 

Mikal Bridges - Brooklyn Nets

The 6 feet 6 inches tall Mikal Bridges plays for Brooklyn Nets. Mikal has won two national championships playing for the Villanova Wildcats. 

During his college career, he played a total of 116 games for the Wildcats averaging 11.3 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.6 assists per game.

Bridges was then drafted by the Philadelphia 76ers as the 10th overall pick in the 2018 NBA draft and was later traded to the Phoenix Suns. 

Since being drafted, he has not missed a single game in his NBA career and holds the active record for most consecutive games played.

After spending six years with the Suns, he was traded to Brooklyn Nets along with Cameron Johnson and Jae Crowder. He was then given the nickname Brooklyn Bridges and won his first NBA Player of the Week in April 2023. 

Mikal is the 42nd player in NBA history to play his 83rd game during the regular season and looks to continue the record in the next season.

Jalen Brunson - New York Knicks

Jalen Brunson is another name on the list of Villanova Wildcats NBA players. The 6 feet 2 inches tall Jalen plays point guard for NY Knicks

He played collegiate basketball at Villanova from 2015 to 2018. In his sophomore season, Brunson was a preseason All-Big honorable mention selection who guided the team to a win in its 2016-17 Big East season opener against the DePaul men's basketball team.

Also during his college career, Jalen won two national championships and became the first Villanova Wildcats men's basketball team to reach number one in the Associated Press Poll. 

He was initially drafted by Dallas Mavericks as the 33rd overall pick in the 2018 draft. Bridges played his first NBA game in 2018 scoring three points, grabbing one rebound, and one assist for his team. 

After spending three seasons with the Mavericks, Jalen joined Miami Heat in July 2022 and currently plays alongside Isaiah Hartenstein and Julius Randle.

Josh Hart - New York Knicks

Josh Hart is another Villanova alumni in NBA who plays for New York Knicks. He was initially selected by Utah Jazz in the 2017 NBA Draft. 

He was named Big East Rookie of the Week three times while playing college basketball for Villanova University. Furthermore, he was named the most outstanding player in the Big East tournament as a sophomore. 

Josh was named the league MVP of the 2018 NBA Summer League .

Before moving to the New Orleans Pelicans in 2019 as part of a package for Anthony Davis, he spent two seasons with the Los Angeles Lakers. With Orleans, he recorded a career-high 11 assists in a 112-101 win over Memphis Grizzlies. 

Hart hit a buzzer-beating 3-pointer in a sensational 110-107 win over Miami Heat on November 7, 2022. He was later traded to the New York Knicks in a four-team trade including the Portland Trail Blazers, Philadelphia 76ers, and Charlotte Hornets.

Cole Swider- Los Angeles Lakers

Cole Swider currently plays for LA Lakers alongside the legendary LeBron James. Cole is under a two-way contract with the South Bay Lakers of the NBA G-League. 

He began his college career at Villanova where he started 15 of the 31 games in his sophomore season and played from 2018 to 2021.

Swider later transferred to Syracuse Orange to play college basketball. At the end of the season, he announced that he will be entering the 2022 NBA Draft. 

Swider signed a two-way contract with the Los Angeles Lakers on 1 July 2022 after going undrafted in the NBA draft of 2022, spending time with their G League franchise, the South Bay Lakers.

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl - Oklahoma City Thunder

Jeremiah Robinson-Earl is an Oklahoma City Thunder power forward. He was initially selected by the New York Knicks in the 2021 NBA draft.

He played his high-school basketball for Bishop Miege High School and college basketball for the Villanova Wildcats. Jeremiah was named to the Big East Freshman Team while playing for the Wildcats.

Jeremiah was assigned to the NBA G League on February 3, 2023.

In his sophomore season, he was named Big East Co-Player of the Year scoring a career-high 28 points in an 83-74 win against Arizona State.

On April 9, 2021, Jeremiah announced the decision to give up his remaining college eligibility and enter the 2021 NBA draft.

Donte DiVincenzo - Golden State Warriors

Donte DiVincenzo won the national championship in 2016 and 2018 playing for Villanova Wildcats. He currently plays for Golden State Warriors.

During his college career, he was named the NCAA Final Four Most Outstanding Player following their championship win over Michigan.

DiVincenzo was the second of four Villanova players chosen in the 2018 NBA Draft selected by the Milwaukee Bucks with the 17th overall choice.

He was a member of the Milwaukee team that won the NBA Finals in 2021 and was awarded a championship ring. However, he missed all of the playoff games following the first round due to a severe left ankle injury.

Donte transferred to Sacramento in 2022 and played 25 games before joining the Golden State Warriors for the 2022/23 NBA season.

Dante Cunningham - Changwon LG Sakers

Cunningham played collegiate basketball for the Wildcats from 2005 to 2009. Dante was chosen to the All-Big second team for the 2008-09 season and NCAA Tournament All-Regional Team. 

During his senior season at Villanova, he leads the team in scoring with 16.1 points and win the Big Most Improved Player award. 

Dante signed with Le Mans Sarthe Basket of the LNB Pro A in 2021.

Cunningham was picked by Portland Trail Blazers in the 2009 NBA draft. While representing Portland in the Las Vegas Summer League, he averaged over 18 points and 5 rebounds over the course of four games.

The power forward later went on to play for Charlotte Bobcats, Memphis Grizzlies, Minnesota Timberwolves, New Orleans Pelicans, Brooklyn Nets and San Antonio Spurs in the league. Donte currently plays for Le Mans Sarthe Basket of the LNB Pro A.

Eric Paschall - Leones de Ponce

The 6 feet 7 inches tall Eric Paschall was drafted by Golden State Warriors in the 2019 NBA Draft. He is a current Leones de Ponce power forward.

Paschall first played college basketball for Fordham and was later transferred to Villanova. In his sophomore season, he recorded a season-high 19 points to win over Creighton.

Named as First-Team All-Big East playing for Wildcats, Eric had his best games during the Final Four scoring 24 points and helping Villanova to win over Kansas. 

He made his NBA debut in 2021 with GSW where he came off the bench and played alongside the likes of Steph Curry and Klay Thompson.

Paschall was later traded to the Utah Jazz and the following year he signed a one-year, two-way contract deal with the Minnesota Timberwolves.
