Julius Randle was born to parents Carolyn Kyles and Matthew Randle on 29 November 1994. Carolyn is a single mom who raised him in Dallas Texas.
Randle's father was not around to look after him while he was growing up, so he was raised by his mother alone. He learned the hard way and acquired an athlete's mindset from Carolyn, a former collegiate basketball player.
