Alex Pietrangelo Parents And Background

Alex Pietrangelo parents are Joe and Edy Pietrangelo. His dad Joe is the cousin of former Pittsburgh Penguins goalie Frank Pietrangelo.

Besides, the NHL defenseman was raised in King City, a small township located just north of Toronto in Ontario, Canada. He lived with his folks and older brother, David, on a captivating 7-acre horse farm.

The property had plenty of room for outdoor activities like ice skating on a homemade rink and sledding down a toboggan hill.

Pietrangelo has some great memories from his childhood winters. He used to skate on the rink in his backyard and playfully pushed his friends into the huge piles of snow around it.

Out of all the fun times he had on that icy surface, there is one memory that he cherishes the most. His uncle Frank made it into NHL as the Pittsburgh Penguins picked him in the 1983 Draft.
