UCF Quarterbacks by year are John Rhys Plumlee, Thomas Castellanos, Mikey Keene, Dillon Gabriel, Brandon Wimbush, McKenzie Milton, and Noah Vedral.

The University of Central Florida Knights football team made their debut in 1979. They belong to the American Athletic Conference (AAC), and they've had some excellent success lately.

The Knights had a rough start, but they steadily improved, especially after George O'Leary was brought in as head coach in 2004. O'Leary was essential in laying the program's groundwork.

UCF quarterback history from 1995 to 1998, Daunte Culpepper was a University of Central Florida quarterback and is regarded as one of the best players in program history. He had multiple school records and was a quarterback with two threats.

After that, Culpepper enjoyed a prosperous NFL career, mostly with the Minnesota Vikings.

Blake Bortles is another top player who played for the University of Central Florida. He is one of the best UCF past quarterbacks who played an important role in the team's good run of form after the 2012 season when they went on to beat the Fiesta Bowl by a 12-1 scoreline.

During his 3-year spell with the Knights, they really had a satisfying season and Bortles was one of the prime reasons for the team's fine form. He was then drafted into the NFL and was eventually selected by the Jaguars.

John Rhys Plumlee - 2023

John Rhys Plumlee is the current starting quarterback for UCF Knights, he is known for being able to run and toss the ball as he is a big aerial threat. He is mostly known for his insane speed and versatility.

A breakout season for Plumlee at UCF in 2022 included passing for 2586 yards and 14 touchdowns and running for 862 yards and 11 more. He was chosen for the second-team All-AAC team and three times received the AAC Offensive Player of the Week award.

In 2023, he has so far managed to have three appearances making 41 pass completions in 61 passing attempts with a passing completion percentage of 67.2.

He has made 586 passing yards and 9.6 passing yards per attempt, with three passing touchdowns, four passing interceptions, and a passing efficiency rating of 151.

Thomas Castellanos - 2022

For the 2022 season, Thomas Castellanos competed for the University of Central Florida as he only managed to get five games as a freshman in Quarterback position.

In his only year with the UCF, he managed to have 1,092 Passing yards with 10 passing touchdowns and four passing interceptions. His passing completion percentage was 51.9 percent and made 358 rushing yards with four rushing touchdowns.

In his short spell with the UCF in 2022, he showed a lot of talent and ability. He was a capable passer who could also run with the ball. In 2023, he is anticipated to be among the best quarterbacks in the American Athletic Conference.

UCF announced on January 3, 2023, that Thomas is leaving the team and transferring to Boston College, which came as a shock.

He now plays for the Boston College Eagles as a junior with a redshirt. He is an aerial threat quarterback, which means that he has the ability to run and pass the ball.

So far he has managed to get 13 appearances for the Eagles, with 10 of them being as a starter in 2023. He has completed 1,165 passes for 10 touchdowns and 4 interceptions in the 13 appearances that he has played for Boston. He's gained 358 yards on the ground and scored 4 touchdowns.

Mikey Keene - 2021

Mikey Keene was a player for the Knights he was a true freshman in 2021 and was the UCF starting QB. He guided them to an 8-3 record and a victory in the Gasparilla Bowl.

He served as John Rhys Plumlee's backup quarterback in 2022. In his four games of participation, he completed 60 of 83 throws for 647 yards and six touchdowns. In addition, Keene threw one interception.

After the 2022 campaign, Keene made a switch to Fresno State. He is the Bulldogs' current starting quarterback.

During his time with the UCF, he made a passing yards of 2377, 23 touchdowns, and seven interceptions. His passing completion percentage was 64.3 percent and his quarterback rating was around 140.8. He made 14 rushing yards and zero touchdowns.

Dillon Gabriel - 2020

Dillon Gabriel is a quarterback who played fromĀ 2019 to 2021 for the UCF. He spent 3 seasons with the team and he was a starter for all the years he spent with the team he also helped the team to a cumulative record of 24-10.

He was named to the second team of the AAC after throwing for 3,653 yards and 29 touchdowns during his rookie season. His second season saw him improve even more, throwing for 3,570 yards and 32 touchdowns. In 2020, Gabriel was selected to the All-AAC first team.

Due to a broken collarbone, Gabriel's junior season was over, yet in just 3 games, he still managed to throw for 814 yards and 9 touchdowns. He was selected for the AAC preseason first team in 2021, however after being hurt, he opted to transfer to Oklahoma.

Brandon Wimbush - 2019

He played college football for two teams the UCF Knights and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish. He first joined Notre Dame but later for his final season of eligibility in 2019, he switched to UCF.

Talking about his stats at UCF, he made just six appearances with one being the start. Out of that many games he played he made 13 passing completions out of 24 attempted.

He made 167 passing yards, 2 touchdown passes, and just one passing interception. He attempted 11 rushing with 48 rushing yards and no rushing touchdowns.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, unfortunately, he was not selected. He then became a free agent and signed with the New York Jets, but was cut during training camp

His college football total stats show that he played 45 games with 28 games coming as starts, making 517 passing completions out of 890 attempts.

His passing yards read 6895 with 39 touchdowns passing and 19 passing interceptions with 1469 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns rushing.

McKenzie Milton - 2018

McKenzie Milton is a former American college football quarterback who attracted a lot of attention and praise while playing for the University of Central Florida.

From 2016 to 2018, he was a member of the UCF Knights, where he was praised for his powerful arm, pinpoint accuracy, and leadership on the field.

He had a key impact on the team's incredible 25-game unbeaten run that lasted for two years from 2017 to 2019. He won multiple honors during his time in college, including the AAC Offensive Player of the Year in 2018.

In November 2018, while featuring against the University of South Florida, he suffered a very bad leg injury, unfortunately setting back his college career.

Noah Vedral - 2017

Noah Vedral played his college football at UCF as well as Nebraska University. During his time with the UCF, he played there from 2017 to 2018, he was a deputy to the UCF starting quarterback McKenzie Milton.

He played for the Cornhuskers in the 2019 and 2020 seasons after transferring to the University of Nebraska. He was recognized for his aerial-threat skills and saw action as a quarterback.

He made 8 appearances as he finished with 22 out of 29 passing attempts for 276 yards making 1 touchdown. He had 77 rushing yards along with 2 rushing touchdowns. Against East Carolina, he managed to finish 4 out of 4 passing attempts he made and also had a 13-yard rushing score.

Sean Pratt - 2016

Sean Pratt is one of the UCF QBs who represented the Knights in his college days. He played for Ave Maria University for two seasons before transferring to UCF.

He was chosen to represent his class on the football team's player leadership committee in 2014 while a freshman at Ave Maria.

He was the backup quarterback in 2015, and his performance against Temple earned him the honor of Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week.

Tyler Harris - 2015

Tyler Harris is a UCF football QB, in his college days he was a 4-star recruit and was ranked in 12 as a pocket passer in the nation.

He was selected to the American Athletic Conference All-Academic Team in 2014 as a true freshman and was also awarded Offensive Scout Team Player of the Week for the Houston game.

He was a redshirt freshman who started six games off the bench and completed 26 passes out of 61 attempts for 308 yards and 4 touchdowns.

Pete DiNovo - 2014

Former American football collegiate player Pete DiNovo was a UCF football quarterback. He appeared in 2014 and 2015 for the Knights.

He served as UCF's starting quarterback in 2014 and had some memorable moments while a Knight. Yet, they encountered difficulties that year.

For the UCF football team, the 2014 season was characterized by a change in the coaching staff and some difficulties on the field.

DiNovo played fewer games and saw less action in 2015 than in earlier years. In comparison to the 2014 season, his statistics from that year were less impressive.

He attempted to transition to wide receiver at the beginning of the season before switching back to quarterback in the middle of the campaign after failing to perform in that position.
