PGA Tour Policy Board members are Ed Herlihy, Jimmy Dunne, Mark Flaherty and Mary Meeker. Ed is the co-chairman of the PGA policy board.

Professional Golf Association (PGA) organized professional golf tours in the US and North America. PGA tour championships and multiple states opens are managed by this entity.

It serves as the circuit for professional golfers to grow and compete at both local and international levels. However, the desire for golfers to have larger purses in the competition gave birth to APG.

American Professional Golfers (APG) was an independent body from PGA but it was later dissolved after PGA and golfers came to a compromise.

PGA board members are responsible for deciding on various national, international, state, and local level competitions. They also conduct anti-doping tests and maintain the integrity of the game.

On the other hand, the BOD of PGA has revealed that they shall be ruined without the deal with the Saudi-backed company Liv Golf. However, players like Tiger Woods and Rory McIlroy were against the deal of PGA and Liv.

Moreover, Ed Herlihy is one of the reputed business lawyers who is known for mergers and acquisitions of top firms in New York.

Dunne helped PGA make a deal with Liv (Saudi-backed) despite finding out that they are the same organization that bankrolled 9/11.

However, Jimmy argues that he sympathizes with the victims of 9/11 as he himself was saved after he went golfing instead of going to his office in the World Trade Center.

Mark was also in the dilemma of merging with LIV. The professional golf tour was founded in 2021, it has many elite golfers within its ranks.

For the survival of PGA to grow local players and propel the game throughout the country, it is essential for the company to seek more capital. Thus, the PGA board is merging with Liv in order to have better financial standing.

Marry Meeker

Mary Meeker is the only female on the PGA board. Meeker is also the general partner at BOND and focuses on high-growth technological companies.

Meeker alongside the three other members is in charge of seeking the source of capital to sustain PGA. According to New York Times, Meeker and peers have already agreed to merge their assets with LIV Golf

The board's main goal was to assure the stay of top professional players on the PGA tour. The flux of capital shall bring such assurance as PGA shall have the biggest purses in the opens.

However, they have compromised their integrity by joining hands with LIV, many 9/11 victims, and elite professional golfers criticizing the decision of BODs.
