Impressive Bart Conner and Nadia Comaneci Wedding Moments

Bart and wife Nadia's wedding ceremony was held at the former presidential palace in Bucharest. 

The couple pledged their love in a grand and opulent outdoor ceremony hosted at one of the largest palaces in the country on Friday, 27 April 1996.

After dating for four years, Nadia and Bart announced their engagement in 1995. Nevertheless, they kept their promise a year later and tied the knot in a grand venue that provided the perfect backdrop for the pair's special day.

More than 2000 people flocked to the streets to witness the proceedings that was telecast live throughout the country.

Similarly, inside the palace, 200 guests were gathered for the momentous occasion to celebrate their deep love and witness the union of these two remarkable Olympic gymnasts.

The ritual was elegant and magnificent, with a gorgeous outdoor setting and an ambiance of warmth and happiness.

Nadia looked enchanting in her flowing white wedding gown, clutching a delightful bouquet of fragrant flowers, while Bart exuded charm and sophistication in his sleek black suit.

They stood facing each other at the altar while the clerk helped them take the marital vows. Afterward, the two shared a passionate kiss before the guests, who cheered and clapped as the newlyweds were engaged in a lengthy caress.

Twenty-six years have passed since Nadia and Bart walked down the aisle, but even after so many years, she recalls every tiny nuance from their big day as it happened recently. 

Year after year, the couple reaffirms their love and commitment to each other by never missing the opportunity to wish each other a happy anniversary.

Teen-aged Nadia first met Bart at Madison Square Garden as they partook in the American Cup in 1976. However, their love romance only started in the early 90s. The rest is history.

Nadia Comaneci husband Bart Conner is a two times Olympic gold medalist gymnast from Illinois. 

Besides, he is also the founder and owner of Bart Conner Gymnastics Academy where they prepare young and energetic athletes. 

Conner was born in the small village of Morton Grove, Illinois, in 1958. His parents, Harold Conner and Jacqueline May, raised him with his two siblings brothers Bruce and Michael. 

He also began gymnastics at a young age and competed at the Junior National Championships in 1972 at 14. Conner became the youngest US athlete to participate in the 1976 Olympics in Montreal. He was 17 years old. 

Bart failed to participate in the 1980 Olympics but won two gold medals, one in the team competition and one in the parallel bars, in the 1984 Summer Olympics four years later.

Furthermore, Conner went on to compete in several more Olympics and World Championships, winning numerous medals.

The 64-year-old is an announcer and commentator for ESPN, SEC, and ABC Sports. He has also participated in philanthropy and is a motivational speaker.

Nadia has one child with Bart; they welcomed a boy named Dylan Paul Conner on June 3, 2006.

The former athlete duo had their first and only baby in their Oklahoma home. However, the birth did not come without discomfort for both the mom and the infant.

Though the arrival was set for the 9th of July, the due date was moved to late June. But in early June, she suffered mild discomfort because of her low amniotic fluid. 

Eventually, on June 3rd, a month before the original due date, Nadia gave birth to Dylan. He weighed 4 lbs and 10 oz. Because of premature birth, Dylan was kept in the hospital's special care unit while developing his swallow reflex.

The couple delayed their decision to have children for ten years following their marriage, as they accorded priority to other responsibilities, and Nadia was not entirely prepared.

However, once she felt ready, they experienced natural conception, although adoption remained a possibility in their minds.

Dylan turned 16 in June 2022 and is passionate about cars and racing. On Instagram, he has posted several pictures and videos of him going out on adventures and occasional gymnastic practice. 

Nadia was born into a Romanian family to her parents Gheorghe Comaneci and Stefania Comaneci. She grew up in the rural enclave of Onesti in Bacău County, Romania. 

Following her parents split in the 1970s, her father moved to Bucharest, the bustling capital city of Romania. Stefania raised Nadia and her brother Adrian as single parents.

Nadia's mom raised her two children under the traditional values of the Romanian Orthodox Church, adhering to its principles.

Besides, Nadia is very close to her brother Adrian and has shared a few pictures with him on Twitter. She attended the red carpet at Laureus Awards in Rio de Janeiro in March 2013 with him and Bart. 

Stefania stated in a 2011 interview that she had enlisted Nadia in gymnastics lessons due to her robust and relentless energy, which made her challenging to handle as a child.

Comaneci embarked on her gymnastics journey from the tender age of six. And by the age of nine, she competed in national and international tournaments. 

In the year 1970, she triumphed in the Romanian Nationals, making history as the youngest gymnast ever to accomplish the milestone.
