Dungy and his partner rang their wedding bells on June 19, 1982. The duo is parents to eleven children, three biological kids and eight adopted kids.

Similarly, Dungy was hired as the defensive backfield coach the same year he married and was elevated to defensive coordinator in 1984.

Following 13 seasons as a head coach in the NFL, the professional football safety and coach retired after the 2008 season.

Her Facebook profile also mentions her work at Grace Family Church - Lutz. GFC is a nondenominational, Bible-based church in Tampa, Florida, and its passion is to develop genuine relationships in the community and with one another.

She Serves As VP Of The Dungy Family Foundation

Tony and his Lauren and family established the Dungy Family Foundation to offer opportunities to those in need.

Since its inception in 2010, the foundation has collaborated with Christian groups, prenatal care facilities, and youth initiatives in Florida, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, and Indiana.

This isn't the only venture the pair has begun together; Harris and her husband have also written several children's books that are readily available on Amazon.

Uncommon Marriage: What We've Learned about Lasting Love and Overcoming Life's Obstacles Together, a book written by the pair, was published in 2014. She provided marriage advice in an interview with Tyndale House Publishers for the book.

Her Family From Pennsylvania 

Lauren hails from Pennsylvania and was raised by her parents, Leonard and Dorris Harris. She has two siblings, a brother named Ave and a sister named Taryn.

Conversely, Lauren Harris Dungy was born on November 2, 1957, which makes her current age 65, as per Religious News Service. She is two years younger than her husband, who turned 67 in October.

Moreover, her Facebook post stated that her mother passed in September 2021 after a protracted struggle with fatal brain cancer. She was a Sewickley, Pennsylvania, native who attended the University of Pittsburgh.

Tony And Lauren Got Hitched In June 1982

Tony and his spouse Lauren recited their wedding vows on 19 June 1982. The couple met in Pennsylvania after Tony gave a speech at St. Stephen Episcopal Church.

They were introduced by the church's reverend at the time, John Guest, who also married them within a year later. In her book An Uncommon Marriage, Harris described Tony as a smart and considerate guy with stunning brown eyes.

She also mentioned that she didn't interact much at first but was instantly at ease with him. Besides, it's been forty years since the couple have been married and raising their huge family in Florida. 

Married for 40 years, Tony uploaded a throwback photo on Twitter from their wedding as well as a more recent shot of them together to commemorate their anniversary, which also happened on Father's Day.

Tony Dungy Eleven Children

Dungy and his partner Harris are raising their children in Florida. The couples are parents to three biological kids and eight adopted kids. 

The former Indianapolis Colts safety and his spouse's three biological children, two sons, Eric and James, and a daughter, Tiara Dungy, are all grown up. However, their eldest son James took his life at the age of 18 outside of Tampa in 2005.

Tiara Nicole Dungy

Tony's daughter, Tiara Dungy, is a Ph.D. scholar at Indiana University's Lilly Family School of Philanthropy in Indianapolis, Indiana, USA. 

She earned her MA in International Relations from the University of the Witwatersrand in Johannesburg, South Africa, and did her BA in Sociology at Spelman College.

According to IUPUI, Dungy feels that her upbringing helped her acquire a deep sense of the amazing potential of those around her. Furthermore, her life was dramatically impacted as a Spelman College student by relearning global history through the perspective of a woman of color.

Eric Dungy

Tony's son, Eric Dungy, 30, is a real estate expert who has lived in Tampa for over two decades. Eric is a graduate of sociology and entrepreneurship. 

He handles all levels of buyers, vendors, and investors in Tampa, Odessa, St. Petersburg, Clearwater, Sarasota, and Bradenton, with a specialty in sports and entertainment clientele.

Per compass.com, his field of specialization is dealing with professional athletes. Eric is a former Division I football player at the University of South Florida and the University of Oregon. He went to Park Tudor School and H.B. Plant High School, according to his Facebook page.

Likewise, he is familiar with the day-to-day routine of top-performing athletes and has created an excellent client list across the country.

Jordan Anthony Dungy

Tony and Lauren adopted son Jordan Dungy was born on August 12, 2000, and is currently 22 years of age. Jordan graduated from Land O' Lakes High School.

Similarly, the proud mother has also posted an image on her Facebook from his first day at work in Publix, where he bagged groceries and assisted with retail operations. His Facebook page describes his current whereabouts in Lutz, Florida.

Their second daughter Jade Dungy is following in her mother's footsteps as a future educator, sharing love and caring for youngsters.

Justin Dungy

Tony and Lauren adopted son Justin Dungy is sixteen years old and was born on May 24, 2006. He took part in and graduated from the African American Rites of Passage Ceremony.

Jason Dungy

Jason graduated from preschool in 2014. He was born on July 23, 2009, and is currently thirteen years old. 

Moreover, the other four kids adopted by Tony and Lauren are Jaela, 7, born on October 1, 2015, Jaden, Jalen, and Juewel Dungy, all of whom are preschoolers.
