Lars Nootbaar Dad Charlie Nootbaar Was His First Baseball Coach

Lars Nootbaar was born to parents Charlie Nootbar and Kumi Enokida. Charlie attended California Polytechnic State University. 

His mother Kumi is Japanese, and father comes from an English, German, and Dutch background. Charlie has encouraged him and trained him to pursue his career in baseball. 

The father and mother also attend and cheer up for their son's games.

Charlie Nootbar Is A Businessman

Charlie has been the co-owner of Rotational Athlete performance since December 2016. 

He is also the owner of CNI Corporation. The company manufactures products in Asia and has developed many contacts and factory relationships to get high-quality products at affordable prices. 

According to his LinkedIn account, he studied at the California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo in 1986. He earned his Bachelor's in Mathematics from San Diego State University in 1990. 

He has many years of working experience in different fields and positions. After graduating from San Diego, he worked as a Purchaser at Toyo Suisan Company for two years. 

Charlie then worked at Sports Source as an account executive. He is the owner and director of product development at the National Pitching Association. 

Nootbar is also active in volunteering activities. He was a director at Rod Dedeaux Research and Baseball Institute in 2011. 

Talking about his personal life, he enjoys traveling and watching his son's matches. He visited Taliesin West with his wife on April 8, 2018.

Kumi Enokida Is Japanese

Kumi works at El Segundo Unified School Dristict. She hails from Higashimatsuyama, Saitama Prefecture. Kumi has been the biggest supporter of her son.

During her son's participation in the Japanese national team, she stated 'It would be amazing if he won it all and tossed skipper Kuriyama in the air.'

Kumi said that Lars' passion for players with "JAPAN" on their uniform began when he was young and was introduced to a high school baseball documentary that aired in Japan.

Lars Nootbaar has two siblings, brother Nigel Nootbaar and sister Nicole Nootbaar.

He spent his childhood playing with his brother and sister, and they share close bonds. They support each other in their good and bad times.

The brother and sister have chosen their career path in sports. Nicole is an athletic trainer. 

Nigel was a pitcher and played professionally in the Baltimore Orioles system; now, he works as a marketing representative.

Nicole Is Assistant Trainer

Nicole is an assistant athletic trainer at the University of California, Los Angeles. 

She studied exercise biology at the University of California, Davis, in 2016 and graduated with a Master of Science and Athletic training from Chapman University in 2019. 

As she is interested in athletic training, she learned and did the course of athletic training of Corrective Exercise Specialization from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. 

Nicole started working in 2013 as an athletic training intern at the University of California for three years.

She then did her athletic training student internship for five months at Chapman University, Foothill High School, and California State Polytechnic University. 

She gained experience working as an intern at different universities and at the University of California for two years as Assistant Athletic Trainer. 

Nicole worked for Mater Dei High School as an assistant athletic trainer for six months, and then she got an offer at the UCLA in August 2022. 

Nigel Is A Marketing Representative

Nigel works as a marketing representative at Federated Insurance. He specialized in providing business owners a tailored liability and asset insurance program to protect their businesses.

Nigel completed Bachelor in Physical Sciences from the University of Southern California in 2015. He was a former baseball pitcher at Baltimore Orioles. 

He was selected in the 12th round of the 2014 MLB draft at Orioles. He also played baseball professionally for Lincoln Pro for one year.

Apart from his playing career, he worked as a private instructor at Beach City Baseball Academy in 2014. 

Nigel has posted his baseball career picture on his Facebook account. His Facebook username is @Nigel Nootbaar. 

Lars Nootbaar grew up with his family in El Segundo, California, US. Lars is the great-grandson of businessman Herbert Nootbaar. 

He spent his childhood playing baseball with his father. In his childhood, he played as a batboy when Japanese high school players visited the US in 2006 for a series of exhibition matches. 

Lar's great-grandfather, Herbert, was an American businessman and an Ellis Island Medal of Honor Recipient. 

He has worked in the agricultural sector and for Taylor Milling Corporation. He was also a member of the World Affairs Council of Orange Country. 

Herbert was the president of the National Grain and Feed Association and chairman of the San Gabriel Valley Council. 

He was married twice to Dorothy Martha Taylor and Elinor W. Baker and had three children. 

Lars Nootbaar girlfriend Susana Kalish has been dating since 2013. Lars and Susana attended at El Segundo High School. 

Susana completed her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of California. She did her Pre-Physician assistant course from Keck Graduate Institute in 2021. 

According to her LinkedIn account, she is seeking an internship in a hospital or doctor's office to explore the medical field and its various positions and gain direct patient experience.

Susana has working experience in different fields. She worked part-time as a front desk student supervisor at UC Davis Student Housing and Dining Services for one year. 

She worked as a Recreation and Parks Recreation Leader at the City of Segundo. She interned at Knight Landing One Health Center as a Medical Clinic Volunteer for two years and three months.
