How Joy Taylor Parents Shaped Her Up With Family Values

Joy Taylor mom and dad are native of Pittsburgh. Anthony Taylor was a former correctional officer. 

The media celebrity has a strong relationship with her mother, Georgia "Gigi," as seen in an Instagram photo on Mother's Day in May 2021. In the subsequent post, she praised her mother and described her as the greatest and most compassionate person on the inside and out. 

She is active on Facebook, where her photographs section is stuffed with images of her children and her mother, who died in 2015 at the age of 95. 

Similarly, Joy celebrated her mother's 70th birthday on January 29, 2023, whom she portrays as a Cowboys fan.

Georgia was married with kids when she met Anthony, a correctional officer. Following their 1985 wedding, Anthony adopted her children, and the family settled in Pittsburgh. 

On the other hand, Jason Taylor testified against Anthony in an aggravated assault with a firearm case in December 2002. The posts made by the Sun Sentinel state that his father refused to allow the family to attend Jason's wedding in June 2001.

Taylor grew up alongside her four siblings Jason, Noah, Tiffany and Gracie Taylor. Jason Taylor is a former football defensive end for the Dolphins. 

Joy and Jason share the profession of sports broadcasters. Noah also had a brief NCAA football career but did not make it to the NFL.

Jason is closer to Joy than any other siblings as they share holidays.

Noah is the youngest of five siblings while Jason is the eldest brother.

Noah was still a minor when Jason made headlines as a high school standout at Woodland Hills in Pittsburgh. Jason had a lengthy career in the NFL.

On the other hand, Noah has had to deal with injuries and coaching changes.

According to NFL, his senior year of high school at Woodland Hills began with a hairline fracture in his ankle, which kept him out for the remainder of the season. 

On the other hand, Jason was listed as the NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2006 and was also selected to the All-Decade Team of the 2000s. In 2017, he was inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame.

The Miami Dolphins picked him in the third round of the 1997 NFL Draft, where he spent the first 11 seasons of his career. 

After his retirement, Taylor has stayed active in football as an analyst and broadcaster. He has also been active in several humanitarian endeavors, including establishing the Jason Taylor Foundation, which seeks to assist poor and at-risk youngsters in South Florida. 

Aside from his career, Jason was married twice and is a father to three grown-up kids. In 2021, Jason welcomed his youngest son, Jordan, with his second wife, Monica Lauren Taylor. 

Joy Taylor has sisters two sisters named Gracie and Tiffany Taylor. 

When Jason was inducted into the Hall of Fame in 2018, his family of six was photographed together. All siblings were seen in a single frame posted by Gigi in 2018.  

Besides, Tiffany is also active on social media sites. Her Facebook page highlights her marriage and children. 

Joy Taylor former husband Richard Giannotti is an Investment Advisor. He worked as a Representative of Global Wealth Management.

Joy had an intimate wedding ceremony in 2016. 

However, the marriage didn't last long, as the couple announced their separation only a year after their nuptials.

Richard then remarried his new wife Kristen Giannotti. In 2021, the couple welcomed their first child, Banks Domenico Giannotti.

As for his career, Richard is a former baseball player who has played for the Southern Maryland Blue Crabs, St. Louis Cardinals, and Los Angeles Angels.

He earned a BBA from the University of Miami Herbert Business School and attended St. Thomas Aquinas High School, as per his LinkedIn. 

Taylor comes from a sports loving family. Joy's nephew and niece are also high school athletes pursuing sports careers. 

Nevertheless, she must be a proud aunt, as all three of Jason's children excelled in football and volleyball. Mason is an LSU football player, while Zoe is a volleyball player.

Similarly, Isaish is the most well-known of the three siblings; he is an Arizona Wildcats safety.

During his high school career at St. Thomas Aquinas, he was selected All-State in the 7A class. His roster description on arizonawildcats.com mentions his uncle, Zach Thomas, who played 13 seasons in the NFL.

Aside from that, Joy and her siblings frequently visit their mother's house for a family reunion throughout the holiday season. Some photographs on their Facebook page depict their well-spent brunch during the festivities.
