Furthermore, she is a former college volleyball player. During her time at Skutt Catholic, the 6 feet 1-inch tall athlete won three state volleyball championships.

Sydney has also won several accolades, including the academic all-conference honors for three years running from 2016 to 2018.

Nick McDermott Is Caddie At PGA Tour

Nick is a professional golfer and caddie who has made his home in Scottsdale, Arizona.

Golf runs in the McDermott bloodline. Though Greg is a basketball coach, he is also a huge golf lover. In December 2012, Greg shared a beautiful picture on a golf course with his two boys, Nick and Doug.

Since April 2021, Nick has been employed as a Caddie at PGA Tour. His Linkedin states that after earning his bachelor's degree from the University of Northern Iowa in 2012, he continued his professional journey. He joined The Legacy Agency as sales and marketing manager.

After nearly two and half years of working in finance management, Nick ventured into golf. He landed a job at Parsons Xtreme Golf (PXG) at the start of 2017 as a club fitting specialist, followed by a master fitter in August 2018.

Doug McDermott parents are Greg McDermott and Theresa McDermott. They raised him in North Dakota before moving to Iowa. 

The head of the family, Greg, is a popular American basketball coach who has been on the this field for over three decades. He is among the highest paid manager in the country, with over $1.3 million annual income.

Born in 1964, the 58-year-old was appointed the head coach of Creighton Bluejays in 2010, where he also coached his boy Doug. He signed a lucrative 10 year deal with the Bluejays and renewed the contract in 2020.

Greg has been coaching at the club for ten years, and during that time, the squad has mounted some commendable trophies. In 2012 and 2013, he led the group to back-to-back MVC State Tournament victories.

Besides, Greg was voted Big East Conference Coach of the Year for his achievement in 2020. Before joining Creighto, Mr. McDermott was a head coach at North Dakota State and Northern Iowa.

Long before his successful career as a basketball coach, Greg made his mark as a formidable collegiate athlete, spending five years as a member of the Iowa Panthers. There he found much more than on-court success in his fateful meeting with his future partner in life, Theresa.

Shortly after the two lovebirds began dating, Greg and Theresa were already engaged by the time they were in their senior years. The next summer after college, the couple tied knot and commenced their blissful married life.

Doug's mother, Theresa, was diagnosed with early stage breast cancer in 2006. Following a prolonged course of chemotherapy and pharmacotherapy spanning five years, she ultimately triumphed over the insidious disease, emerging victorious and achieving a state of complete remission.

Inspired by their battle with cancer, Greg and Theresa became prominent advocates for public health, devoting their time and energy to a wide range of awareness campaigns and initiatives.
