Connor McDavid brother Cameron McDavid is a retired ice hockey player. McDavid grew up in Ontario with his family.

McDavid is a Canadian ice hockey player who currently serves as the captain of the Edmonton Oilers of the NHL. He began playing hockey in childhood and quickly developed into a top prospect.

He was first selected by the Edmonton Oilers in the 2015 NHL Entry Draft and became the youngest captain in NHL history at 19. Since joining the NHL, Connor has established himself as a dominant force on the ice.

Connor has won the Hart Trophy as the NHL's Most Valuable Player twice, in 2017 and 2018, and has been named to the NHL First All-Star Team five times. He has also won the Art Ross Trophy as the NHL's leading scorer three times and the Ted Lindsay Award as the NHL's most outstanding player four times.

In addition to his individual accolades, McDavid has helped lead the Oilers to the postseason in the past three seasons.

Cameron McDavid Played Hockey For Three Seasons

Cameron is a Canadian ice hockey player who played for three seasons before retiring from the sport.

Standing at the height of 185 cm (6'1") and weighing 91 kg (201 lbs), McDavid was a formidable presence on the ice. He was a right-handed shooter and played the center position.

During his career, McDavid played for the Ajax/Pickering Raiders U16 AAA team in the 2008-09 season and then moved on to play for the Newmarket Hurricanes in the Ontario Junior Hockey League (OJHL) for the 2009-10 and 2010-11 seasons. He also played for the Georgina Ice of the Central Ontario Junior C Hockey League (COJCHL) in the latter season.

Despite his relatively short career, McDavid's talent and hard work on the ice were undeniable. He was a valuable member of each of the teams he played for and contributed significantly to their success.

Connor and Cameron McDavid's parents raised them in Richmond Hill, Ontario. The age gap between the siblings is four years.

Brian and Kelly supported his dreams and did their best to help him achieve them. Brian served as his coach, and Kelly helped him set attainable goals and provided emotional support.

The McDavid household was no stranger to the loud noises coming from the garage as Connor and Cameron worked on their hockey training. The two brothers took their father's advice to shoot a minimum of 100 pucks daily and put in the hard work to improve their skills.

Connor's mother, Kelly, also has a background in sports. She played recreational ice hockey as a child before focusing on skiing. On the other hand, Brian was a high school ice hockey player and a dedicated Boston Bruins fan. Clearly, the love for hockey ran deep in the McDavid household.

McDavid Credits His Parents For Their Support And Guidance 

From a young age, Connor was passionate about sports, and his mother and grandmother often guarded his sports equipment while he practiced. His father, Brian, served as his youth coach, guiding him through his games and helping him develop new skills.

His mom and dad have been a huge part of his career and life. Despite his young age, Connor had big ambitions for his hockey career. 

When he was six, he told his parents that he planned to leave home at the age of 14 to attend Shattuck St. Mary's Boarding School in Fairbault, Minnesota, just like Sidney Crosby had done before him.

Connor also hoped to be granted exceptional player status by the Ontario Hockey League. In addition, he told his parents that he would be selected first overall in the NHL Draft and that his name would eventually be etched in the Hockey Hall of Fame.
