Kenny Pickett parents Ken and Kasey Pickett raised him in Ocean Township in New Jersey. Kenny grew up with his younger sister Alex Pickett.

Pickett is a football quarterback for the Pittsburgh Steelers of the NFL. The Steelers chose him in the first round of the 2022 NFL Draft.

He won the Johny Unitas Golden Arm award as a senior at the University of Pittsburgh. He spent his freshman season at  Pittsburgh in 2017 and started his first career game against the Miami Hurricanes. 

Kenny led Pittsburgh to their first-ever ACC Coastal Division Championship in his debut season as the primary starter. He made his NFL debut in 2022 against the New York Jets, completing 10 of 13 passes for 120 yards and scoring twice on the ground.

Kenny Pickett parents Ken Pickett and Kasey Pickett live in New Jersey. Ken and Kasey were both athletic in their college.

Pickett has one sister Alex Pickett with whom he shares strong bonds. When Kenny was five years old, his father started coaching him in flag football and coached him until he graduated from high school.

In an interview with Steelersnow, he discussed his relationship with his dad. Ken used to coach him and used to ask what he observed on certain plays, and talk with him after the game about whatever he saw on the field.

Kenny followed in his father's footsteps and became a well-known football player.

Ken Pickett was a football linebacker for the Red Raiders football team from 1989-1991. He finished with the record for career tackles at 455 after directing the team in each of his three active seasons as a starter.

He earned AP All-America Second Team honors for his linebacker position. He was qualified as a nominee for the Harlon Hill award due to his performance. 

Pickett was selected for All-PSAC Western Division honors during his junior year after collecting 171 tackles and leading the league with seven interceptions. 

He was a great leader of the Red Raiders, and in terms of his career tackles, Pickett is third in school history.

When Kenny was five years old, he always had a ball and bat in his hands. Ken guided Kenny and enjoyed the shared love of football with his son.

Ken has always guided his son to go in the right direction, and he has always been by Kenny's side.

His son Kenny shares a strong bond with him; in the same interview, Kenny stated that he trusts his father, and because of this, he always turns to him for advice and points him in the right direction.

His Mother Kasey Played Soccer

Kenny's mother, Kasey Pickett, was a sportswoman in her college days. She played soccer at Division II Kutzdown University.

Kasey always supports and motivates his son in his games. She attended and watched her son's development into the Panthers' starting signal caller game on November 7, 2018.

Kenny Pickett Family Life

Kenny Pickett grew up playing football with his family in New Jersey. He has an athletic background family where his father, mother, and sister were all involved in sports.

When Kenny was taken by the Pittsburgh Steelers, he was surrounded by his family and friends at an NFL draft. 

His father recalls coaching his son in flag football on the fields near West Park Avenue when he was five years old. Ken stated to the Asbury Park Press NJ, that he spent most of the time with Kenny on the practice grounds where he was growing up.

Kenny Has One Sibling Alex Pickett

Kenny Pickett has a sister Alex Pickett, who played soccer during her time at the university. Alex currently works as an assistant coach at Seton Hill Athletics.

The brother and sisters support each other, and they share a strong bond. Kenny has posted pictures of her sister on his Instagram account.

Alex Pickett Career

Alex played soccer for Ocean Township High School for four years and was named to the All-Division and All-Monmouth County teams.

She participated in 23 games as a freshman, starting 14 at forward, and helped the Warriors win the PSAC title for the second consecutive as the inaugural NCAA DII Atlantic Region title.

In 2018, Alex's remarkable career ended at East Stroudsburg University, and she joined the Seton Hill women's soccer team in 2020 for her second season.

She helped the Warriors in four consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances, one NCAA Atlantic Regional win, and three consecutive Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference titles.

In her final three seasons with the Warriors, she was chosen for the All-PSAC team three times and received All-Region recognition.
