Jacie Hoyt husband Daniel Heflin is an Associate Athletic Director for Oklahoma State University Athletics. Jacie married on 4 August 2018.
Their love story began after Daniel texted a paragraph-long message to Jacie, making an effort to catch up and explaining why they should meet.
Well, the text message was sent in July 2016, when they were both employed in college athletics. Heflin had worked with Chad Weiberg in the TTU sports department at the time and knew Weiberg had worked with Hoyt at Kansas State.
On March 20, 2022, she was appointed as the head coach of the Oklahoma State Cowgirls.

Jacie and Daniel first met at a Kansas City soccer game in 2016. Daniel knew Jacie through a mutual friend Chad Weiberg.
Daniel was the one who noticed Jacie and wanted to introduce himself. He even texted her on Facebook and waited months for a response. And then the day came when Heflin got to meet Hoyt in person while working at the Big 12.
They met at a Kansas City soccer game when Heflin was picking up a suit from someone on the hiring committee that had just selected Hoyt as the women's basketball coach, as per SW News Press.
It was more than just mutual friends that brought Heflin and Hoyt together since they are passionate competitors.
They had a long-distance romance with Heflin in Lubbock and Hoyt in Kansas City, respectively. When Hoyt took over as head coach for the first time, she suggested they take a break from their relationship to determine whether they still wanted to be together.
Three days into break, the University of Kansas unexpectedly offered Heflin a position in the athletics department. He contacted Hoyt right away and informed her of his move to Kansas City, where they could meet in person.

Hoyt and Daniel had a beautiful wedding on August 4, 2018. The couple marked their fourth wedding anniversary in 2022 with a vacation picture collage.
In a Twitter post celebrating their 4th anniversary, Heflin stated about god and how it brought them together and has blessed them ever since.
Who Is Daniel Heflin?
Heflin graduated from Wichita State University in 2011.
His LinkedIn page states that he enrolled at Georgia College and State University to pursue a bachelor's degree in business marketing.
Daniel began his professional career as a development intern at the University of Miami. He subsequently spent nearly a year as the director of athletic development at Missouri State University.
After that, he was also the director of the Owl Scholarship Fund at Florida Atlantic University and the associate athletic director for significant donations at Texas Tech.
Daniel is also actively involved in philanthropic activities; he is a member of the Big Brother Big Sister Foundation, which strives to improve the lives of children suffering from difficulties.
Amid this, the Topeka, Kansas native was raised by his mother, Yolanda Torrez. He also has a brother named Theo Heflin, a former pitcher at Seattle Mariners. Theo is a graduate of Hutchinson Community College Admissions, as per his Facebook.
