Evan Mobley parents are Nicol Mobley and Eric Mobley from California. Eric is a USC assistant coach while Nicol is an elementary school teacher.

Eric coached his son from the beginning of his career. Evan followed in his father's footsteps to become a basketball player.

He played for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA. Mobley represented the USC Trojans in college basketball, and the Cleveland Cavaliers picked him third overall in the 2021 NBA Draft. 

He was regarded as a five-star recruit and one of the top three players in the 2020 recruiting class. The basketball player won the Pac-12 Player of the Year, Defensive Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year awards.

Evan joined Anthony Davis of the Southeastern Conference in 2012 as the second player from a major conference. He played in the 2018 FIBA Under-17 World Cup in Argentina for the United States.

Eric Mobley is an assistant men's basketball coach at the University of Southern California (USC). He is a former head coach at Compton Magic and the founder of the Triple Threat basketball program.

He has eight years of experience coaching different AAU teams before joining USC. The coach had previously coached the Compton Magic's 16 and under team for three years.

Mobley joined the USC men's basketball staff as an assistant coach on March 24, 2018. He has an extensive background in player development, coaching, mentoring, and improving players' skills.

He established Triple Threat in 2007 in Southern California in order to encourage confidence, passion, and integrity in student-athletes through the game of basketball.

He also served as the head women's basketball coach at Rancho Christian High in Temecula, California.

Eric studied at Helix High in La Mesa and graduated from Portland in 1990 with a degree in Criminal Justice. He played basketball at Portland where he averaged 7.2 points and 5.6 rebounds as a 1990 starter. 

After his collegiate basketball, he played professionally for clubs in Portugal, Mexico, and Indonesia. He also played for the legendary Meadowlark Lemon's Harlem All-Stars and in the World Basketball League.

Evan Mobley Mom Nicol Is A Teacher

Nicol Mobley is an elementary school teacher. She is a former educator at San Diego Unified School District.

She completed high school at Mt. Carmel and studied at CSU Northridge.

Nicol is actively involved in the donation program. She donated to Renne Bestany-Hammond's birthday fundraiser for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in 2019.

In an interview with Prospective Insight, Evan stated that "his mother Nicol helps him with his school and grades and to maintain them." Her birthday falls in April and her son Evan surprised Nicol with a brand-new car on her birthday in 2022.

Nicol also attends his son's games and shares the game picture and videos on her social media account. She enjoys spending time with her loved ones and they have traveled to many places together.

Evan Mobley Siblings

Evan Mobley grew up playing basketball with his older brother Isaiah Mobley. Isaiah is also a basketball player who plays for the Cleveland Cavaliers of the NBA.

According to theathletic, Evan grew up with two foster siblings and then attended high school with a foreign exchange student.

He got closer to his foster siblings and had happy childhood memories with them. As the basketball player grew up, his foster brother and sister left home when he was 6 or 7 years old.

The Mobleys once welcomed Johnny from China. When Johnny got into their house but he didn't know much English. However, he picked up the basics of the English language quickly. Johnny was respected and loved by Mobley.

When it was time for Johnny to leave for his country everyone was sad. Eric posted a picture on his Instagram account with the caption "Johnny is headed back to China; we are going to miss you immensely and all your funny jokes and gestures."

Isaiah Mobley Career So Far

Isaiah played basketball for the USC Trojans. He was chosen by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the 49th overall pick and signed him to a two-way deal on July 2, 202

Before beginning high school, Mobley got offers from several NCAA Division I institutions, including Nevada and San Diego State.

As a freshman, he guided his team to the CIF Division V Southern California Regional final and won the school's first-ever CIF Southern Section (CIF-SS) Division 5A championship.

 He was selected as The Press-player Enterprise's of the year and was named to the USA Today All-USA California second team.

Inside Evan Mobley Family Life

Evan was raised by his family in San Diego, California. He became interested in sports when he was in eighth grade.

Mobley started playing high school basketball at Rancho Christian School in Temecula, California. Mobley played with his brother Isaiah for the first three years of his career.
