Aaron Donald Parents Anita Goggins and Archie Donald Raised Him Tough

Aaron Donald dad Archie Donald is a former physical trainer. Archie trained Aaron when he was in High School.

Archie is a former collegiate football player who had to cut short his career because of a knee injury. Hence, he imparted his dream of playing in the NFL to his little boy Aaron.

However, the 2021 Super Bowl champion was not always a passionate sports enthusiast.

After Aaron's dad and mom separated in 1999, Archie took custody of all of his three children.

Thus he was extra careful in raising his kids and wished to see the trio succeed in their life and career.

Mr. Donald spared no effort in turning his slothful son into one of the league's hardest-working and most devoted athletes. He now plays as a defensive tackle for the Los Angeles Rams of the National Football League (NFL). 

Archie had set up a makeshift gym in their basement. Aaron grew up watching his old man work out there.

He also played football with his father growing up in Churchland Street.

Aaron is well aware of his dad's sacrifices to nurture him. So as a symbol of gratitude and love, the LA Rams tackle gifted Archie a monster truck Dodge Ram and a Rolex watch at Secret Celebrity Renovation in 2015.

Aaron Donald mom Anita Goggins appeared on Pitt Football Moms of 2017 edition. She gave a little insight into raising him from her perspective on the video.

Anita explained her brief period with Aaron and how he always wanted to play football. "Football has always been part of our household," she added. "You had no other alternative but to play the sports."

The three times NFL Defensive Player lacked a mother's care growing up. His parents divorced in 1999 when he was eight years old. She was forced to leave the family because she could not endure the agonizing atmosphere that Archie had cultivated there.

Anita migrated to Duquesne within Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, where she began her endeavors. She never married, though, and has been living her life all alone since she moved in. 

She practically worked as a stay-at-home mom to care for Donald and their three children while Goggins was with Donald. She founded a travel agency since she could not survive a solitary life without a job and needed income.

Despite moving out from the family picture, Anita always ensured she was there for all three of her kids when they needed it. She often visited them at their colleges and spent quality time.

Aaron Donald has two siblings Archie Donald Jr and Akita Donald in the Lincoln Lemington Belmar neighborhood.

After his divorce from his wife Anita, Archie Sr was left alone to parent his three kids, who were all in their early childhood. They all had a difficult upbringing growing up without a mom.

Eldest Brother Archie Donald III

Aaron Donald has an elder brother named Archie Donald Jr. He is a former NFL athlete who played as a linebacker for Cleveland Browns.

Archie Jr started his career in 2006, playing for his high school at Penn Hills High. With his gigantic body and practical skillset, the University of Toledo offered him to play for the college. 

He became redshirted in 2007 and swung the UT jersey for four years till 2010. During his time at the campus, Archie III threw 412 career tackles which inducted him into the top ten all-time tackles at UT.

After college, Archie was flying high and set to play for NFL following the 2011 NFL Draft. Unfortunately, the 6 feet 2 inches tall LB remained undrafted as the Cleveland Browns approached him.

Sister Akita Donald

Aaron Donald has a sister named Akita, an executive director at a non-profit entity AD99 Solutions. She has been serving at the organization since July 2019.

Professionally Akita is a psychiatrist and mental health therapist, as per her Linkedin.

She practiced her discipline at AD Counseling Services for four years, from October 2017 to August 2022, providing outpatient therapy, CBT, and EMDR to the Pittsburgh locals.

Furthermore, Akita joined the Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, where she works as an adjunct professor in the Nonprofit Management department.

She completed her education, both bachelor's and master's studies, at Carlow University.

From 2003 to 2008, she did a BA major in Sociology, then continued her MA in professional counseling.

On the other hand, Akita has also been actively participating in various volunteering works.

She is a board member of Youth Opportunities Development (YOD)  and a committee staff of the Day One Project aimed at economically empowering poor people.

Aaron has a close relationship with her. In November 2018, Akita was spotted near the Peoples Canter building, repping her baby brother.

Aaron is married to his wife Erica Donald. Erica works for her husband as a sports marketing manager, handling daily operations. 

Her Linkedin profile states she worked as Interim Chairwoman at the AD99 Solutions Foundation for two years before she found a job at the LA Rams. Previously Erica served as a Vice President of athletes partnerships for game1 in 2020. 

She is also a former manager of community affairs of the Rams from 2015 to early 2020. People write Erica also spent her brief career period working as Kanye West's Donda Sports executive. 

The LA homegrown graduated from Louisiana State University with a bachelor's degree in mass communication and also majored in public relations.

Besides, Erica is Aaron's loving and caring spouse, who provides him with mental and emotional support. The two met while she was working at Los Angeles Rams. They dated for a while and eventually got married. Before being with Erica, Aaron had a long-term relationship with Jaelynn Blakey.

Donald is parenting three children. He welcomed his third kid, first with partner Erica in 2021.

The NFL star had two children from a previous relationship with Jaelynn. In 2013, Aaron welcomed a daughter named Jaeda Donald.

He posted a photo on Instagram in June 2021. Aaron Donald daughter Jaeda reportedly has a skin disorder called Vitiligo.

Three years later, a second baby was born to Aaron and Jaelynn. They were blessed with a son Aaron Jr. After they split in 2019, Aaron took full custody of his two little ones. 

With the arrival of his third kid, Aaric, in September 2021, Donald moved in with his beloved soulmate Erica in Southern California.

On the other hand, Jaeda and Aaron Jr. still reside in Pittsburgh.

Particularly now that Jaeda has begun school, the distance has become a concern for Aaron since he has less time to visit her.
