A professional ice hockey team, the Vegas Golden Knights is located in the Las Vegas metropolitan region. They participate in the NHL as a part of the Western Conference's Pacific Division.

The Knight staff consists of a head coach, assistant coaches, and other people essential in supporting and directing the players.

The first head coach of the Knights was Gerard Gallant who was hired on April 13, 2017, and he served the team for three years.

Bruce Cassidy is the current head coach of the Las Vegas Golden Knights of the National Hockey League. Bruce was hired on June 14, 2022. 

He previously served as the head coach for Boston Bruins and Washington Capitals. With the Bruins for six seasons, Cassidy had a 292-155-53 record and two Stanley Cup Final appearances.

Bruce received the Jack Adams Award for the best coach in 2019–20. He again led the Bruins to a 44-14-12 record and 100 points during the  2019–20 season, winning the Presidents' Trophy for the third time in the team's history.

Cassidy is a former ice-hockey player who played as a defenceman for the Chicago Black Hawks. He was chosen by the Chicago Black Hawks of the National Hockey League (NHL) in the first round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft.

In 1982–83, Cassidy had his greatest OHL season, scoring 111 points on 25 goals and 86 assists. In 1984, he won the Memorial Cup scoring 12 points, and at the age of 19, he made his NHL debut with the Black Hawks.

After ending his playing career, he began his coaching career with Jacksonville Lizard Kings where he led the team to a 15–25–10 record.

He also coached Indianapolis Ice, Trenton Titans, Grand Rapid Griffins, Chicago Black Hawks, Kingston Frontenacs, and Providence Bruins.

While serving as head coach for the Providence Bruins, the team went 50-21-5 for 105 points, the best in the AHL, and won the Atlantic Division.

In 2014–15, Cassidy guided the Bruins to their third straight season with at least 40 victories. Providence concluded the season with a 41–26–9 record, 91 points, and sixth-place finish in the Eastern Conference.

With Cassidy in charge, the Golden Knights are expected to be a Stanley Cup contender in the upcoming seasons.

The Tampa Bay Lightning selected Craig 255th overall in the NHL Entry Draft in 2002. Talking about his playing career, Craig signed a two-way, one-year, $500,000 contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on July 3, 2010, after spending his first seven professional seasons with the Lightning organization.

In 2012–13, during Craig's first year with the team, he was chosen as the Falcons' captain. He contributed to Springfield's postseason run with 20 goals and 47 points in 75 games.

John Stevens is a professional ice hockey coach currently serving as an assistant coach for Vegas Golden Knights. He previously served as the National Hockey League (NHL) team head coach for the Los Angeles Kings and Philadelphia Flyers.

Stevens played as a defenseman for the Flyers and Hartford Whalers. After suffering permanent eye damage, he had to end his playing career in 1999, but he stayed on with the Philadelphia Phantoms as an assistant coach.

John played in 53 NHL games for the Philadelphia Flyers.

After the 2005–06 season, John was promoted to assistant coach for the Phantoms' parent organization. On October 22, 2006, following Ken Hitchcock's termination, Stevens was named head coach of the Philadelphia Flyers.

Misha Donskov is a Vegas Golden Knights assistant coach. General Manager Kelly McCrimmon announced on May 16, 2022, that he would continue to work for the team in 2022–2033.

He joined the Golden Knights in 2017 as the Director of Hockey Operations before being promoted 2018 to Assistant Director of Player Personnel. In 2021, he received an offer to his present position as an assistant coach.

Donskov was Director of Hockey Operations and Men's National Teams 3 for Hockey Canada before joining the Golden Knights. Additionally, he served as an assistant coach for the Canadian Men's National Team at the 2014 Winter Olympics in Sochi, Russia.

Vegas Golden Knights General Manager

Kelly McCrimmon is the current general manager for Las Vegas Golden Knight of the National Hockey League. Kelly was appointed on May 2, 2019. 

He has been important in developing the Golden Knights team and organization. Before joining the Golden Knights, McCrimmon formerly served as the head coach, owner, governor, and general manager of the Brandon Wheat Kings of the Western Hockey League.

McCrimmon has been crucial in developing the Vegas Golden Knights organization and roster since being named assistant general manager of the team on August 2, 2016.

With Wheat Kings, he has won six Eastern Conference Championships and 10 Eastern Division titles. With over 400 victories behind Brandon's bench, McCrimmon is the Wheat Kings' all-time winningest head coach.

McCrimmon earned his first title as a WHL general manager in 1995–96 and his second championship with the Wheat Kings. He took over the team's coaching responsibilities in 2004.

He appeared as head coach and general manager in the finals during his third season leading the Brandon Wheat Kings.

In 2011, Kelly handed over his coaching responsibilities to Cory Clouston, the former head coach of the Ottawa Senators. After finishing his WHL career, he played four seasons of ice hockey for the University of Michigan Wolverines, where he was selected captain in his last season.
