Stanley Cup past winners are Colorado Avalanche (2022) Tampa Bay Lightning (2021) St Louis Blues (2019) and Washington Capitals (2018).

Montreal Canadiens are the most successful team in the Cup Championship history with 24 wins, followed by Toronto Maple Leafs at 13 and Detroit Red Wings at 11.

However, it has been 30 years since the Canadiens last won the prized mantle, with their most recent triumph coming in the 1992-93 season.

The respective champions of the Eastern Conference and Western Conference will battle in the best-of-seven series. The 2023 Stanley Cup Final is scheduled for June 8 to June 18.

The Blackhawks became the fourth major Chicago sports club to win a title since 1986. Facing Philadelphia Flyers, Chicago star forward Patrick Kane scored the game-winning goal in an unexpected way.

The goal was initially missed by both teams when the puck was sent toward the net, but Kane and his teammates later cheered after realizing that the puck had actually moved past the goalie and into the net.
