Being a busy skip, 33-year-old Homan didn't spend much time on the sidelines throughout her pregnancy, which appeared to coincide with the curling season.

While pregnant, Homan led her foursome to the Scotties' final against Kerri Einarson. Less than a month later, Homan gave birth to her daughter, Bowyn Germain, on March 25, 2021.

The initial plan was for Homan to miss the two Grand Slams while in the Calgary bubble, which was a realistic expectation given that the first tournament, the Champions Cup, was scheduled to begin only three weeks after Bowyn was born.
