The Lakers signed four-time NBA MVP Wilt Chamberlain in 1968, and under the guidance of new head coach Bill Sharman and they won their sixth NBA championship in 1972.

The team won five championships in eight years with the "Showtime" teams led by Magic Johnson and Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. The franchise won five championships including winning two out of three marquee Finals matchups against the Celtics.

The Lakers and Celtics faced off in the 2010 Finals, where Los Angeles defeated its historic rival in a seven-game series to earn its 16th championship.

2. Shaquille O'Neal

4. Dennis Schroder 

Dennis Schroder signed on with the Lakers in 2020 and has since become a solid reserve player.
