Jack had six sons, who all went on to become wrestlers, except for Jack Jr., who passed away at 6. Lance Von Erich was a fictional cousin created by Fritz.

Fritz Von Erich was born in Jewett, Texas, on August 16, 1929. His full name is Jack Barton Adkisson. He was married to Doris, with whom he had six sons. They got divorced after 42 years of marriage.

Fritz was the patriarch of the Von Erich family. He was trained by Stu Hart and quickly became a star in many National Wrestling Alliance promotions and also held the AWA World Heavyweight Championship in the 1960s. 

He was NWA President in the 1970s and World Class Championship Wrestling (WCCW) president.

In Japanese wrestling, Fritz earned the name of Tetsu no Tsume (The Iron Claw). Sadly, Fritz passed away on 10 September 1997.

He and his brothers held numerous titles as tag specialists, including traditional tag team and six-man belts. As a singles wrestler, he had a particularly abrasive rivalry with Chris Adams.

Kevin is the second son of Fritz, whose real name is Kevin Ross Adkisson, born on May 15, 199,7, in Belleville, Illinois. He is the only surviving son of Fritz. 

David Von Erich

David was the third son and was also called "The Yellow Rose Of Texas". His real name is David Alan Adkisson. He was born on July 22. 1958 in Dallas, Texas.

David was considered the best in-ringer performer. He had previously faced off against Harley Race and Ric Flair for the NWA World Heavyweight Championship, and he was believed to be close to taking it home.

David passed away during his tour in Japan at the age of 25, windowing his wife, Patricia.

Kerry Von Erich

Kerry was the fourth son, born Kery Gene Adkisson on February 3, 1960, in Niagara Falls, New York. He was the most popular among the Von Erichs. He was given the names "The Modern Day Warrior" and "The Texas Tornado."

Kerry was the most successful in the family as he had the NWA World Heavyweight Title from Ric Flair. 

Kerry was married to Cathy and had two daughters, Hollie and Lacey. After nine years of marriage, the coupled divorced. Kerry breathed his last in 1993. Lacey went wrestled for a few years with Von Erich's name.

Mike Von Erich

Mike was the fifth son, born as Michael Brett Adkisson, on March 2, 1964, in Dallas, Texas. He was known as an "Inspirational Warrior."

Mike wasn't as interested in being in the ring but still did so for his family's name. He was married to Shani and shoulder injury during a tour led to his demise in 1987.  

Chris Von Erich

Chris Von Erich whose real name was Chris Barton Adkisson was also born in Dallas on September 30, 1969. He was the youngest of the sons.

Chris wasn't as successful as his brothers, he was shorter and suffered from asthma. He was determined to wrestle and played tag with Kerry and Kevin against Steve Austin.  

Chris passed away in 1991 at the age of 21. 

The Grandchildren

Ross Von Erich (David Michael Ross Adkisson) and Marshall Von Erich (Kevin Marshall Adkisson) are Kevin's sons and are still active in wrestling.
