Jon Scheyer mom Laury Scheyer works at Duke Eye Center Advisory Board. Jon grew up with his two older sisters named Brooke and Jennifer. 

His parents have always supported his career, and they even traveled 1000 miles to watch Duke's first and second-round NCAA Tournament games in Jacksonville in 2010.

Being the youngest of the three siblings, Scheyer began dribbling a basketball at age three. He played in his first AAU national tournament at age nine. 

Following his outstanding playing career, Scheyer was named the head coach in 2021 for the Duke Blue Devils of the ACC.

Currently, the Duke basketball coach cherishes the memorable ACC Tournament championship after a win over Virginia on Saturday night game on March 11, 2023. The Blue Devils beat Virginia 59-49, and they have now captured nine games in a row.

Jon Scheyer parents are Jim Scheyer and Laury Scheyer. Coach Scheyer grew up in Northbrook, Illinois.

Besides, Jim and Laury Scheyer had journeyed over 1,100 miles to Houston for the Sweet 16, 800 miles to Durham, and roughly 700 miles to Madison Square Garden to see Jon play at the Cameron Indoor Stadium.

Their family's favorite trip, which included his two older sisters, Brooke and Jennifer, along with brother-in-law Danny Resnick, who all made time to see Jon play, has been the nearly 20-mile trip to Chicago.

Jon Scheyer Wife

Jon Scheyer married wife Marcelle Scheyer on May 7, 2017. They were engaged in 2015 when he was an assistant at Duke.

Jon posted a photo on his Instagram page in January 2014, which showed him and Marcelle attending their first Duke game together. Fans in the comment section were curious about their relationship status, wondering if Marcelle was Jon's girlfriend.
