Jack Nunge Wife Gabrielle Nunge Is a Volleyball Star For Iowa Hawkeyes

Gabrielle Nunge is a volleyball player who plays for the Iowa Hawkeyes. 

She played volleyball for the university team, where she was selected as captain in her junior and senior years. 

Gabrielle graduated from the University of Iowa with a bachelor's degree in communication studies, a minor in rhetoric and persuasion, and a certificate in event management.

To start her college volleyball career off right, she left Minnesota's Eagan High School a semester early. She completed an internship at the North Liberty, Iowa-based Soiree Wedding Planning company. 

Gabrielle participates in community service projects like helping with the "Bringing Joy to the Children" toy drive and volunteering with Habitat for Humanity, the food bank for Westchester Inc.

Gabrielle Nunge Volley Ball Career

At Eagan High School, she played for four years under Kathy Gillen. In conference play, as a senior, she led the group to victory.

Gabrielle was selected as the team MVP, an AAU All-American, and a member of the all-state MSHSL State All-Tournament team. She was chosen as the USJO All-American MVP for the 15 Open.

In 2017, she played in all 33 matches as the setter. She was named B1G co-Freshman of the Week.

Gabrielle appeared in 31 matches in 2018 where she led Lowa with 1,242 assists and was second on the team with 298 digs.

In a victory over Northwestern, she recorded 51 assists, a career-high 4 solo blocks, and 7 total blocks.

As a Junior in 2019 Gabrielle appeared in 21 matches. She completed the season ranked fifth in program history with 3,226 assists, making her the seventh Hawkeye to surpass 3,000 career assists.

Gabrielle Nunge was born in Edina, Minnesota, on March 4, 1999. She was born to her parents, Gretchen and Lorenzo Orr, and has one sister Kennedi Orr.

Gabrielle is 5 feet 10 inches tall and weighs around 60-65 kg. She graduated a semester early from Eagan High School in Minnesota.

She joined the Iowa program a semester early, and her presence on the court significantly impacted her team.

Her tremendous work ethic and the way her personality comes over on and off the court have helped her blend in perfectly with the Iowa volleyball team.

Gabrielle Nunge is happily married to her partner Jack Nunge. The couple met in their college days when Gabrielle was a freshman on Iowa's volleyball team, and Jack was a freshman on Iowa's basketball team.

They first met at the dorms, and after that, they began communicating and dating, and their relationship grew.

Since then, they have been together and dealt with severe, serious volleyball and basketball injuries and more. They both chose Lowa for their careers.

Gabrielle and Jack look perfect together, and they spend their time together exploring new places.

Gabrielle and Jack have known each other since college and have been together ever since.

They had spent a lot of time together, traveling and having fun. The couple is active on social media and is open about their relationship.

Gabrielle and Jack have posted many pictures of one another on their social media account. They spend their night out together. 

On March 4, 2019, Jack wished his partner happy birthday through her Instagram account, where the couple was seen spending and celebrating a birthday night in the club.

On September 11, 2019, Jack uploaded a picture of Gabrielle with the caption, "Hey Brie, how many years have we been dating again." Gabrielle can be seen posing in the photo holding up her finger to represent the number two.

Jack Nunge was born to parents Beth Nunge and Mark Nunge in Newburgh, Indiana. Mark passed away in 2020 at age 53.

Mark was a basketball player for the University of Rochester while Beth was a softball player at Central College. He grew up in an athletic family.

Jack has two brothers named Joey and Bobby Nunge; two sisters named Jessica and Rebecca Nunge. Jessica Nunge is a volleyball player, an outside hitter who captained Notre Dame.

Nunge married Gabrielle on June 2022. Jack and Gabrielle posted their wedding picture on June 1, 2022, on their Instagram account.

Gabrielle shared a photo with the caption, "The perfect day & the love of my life. nothing makes me happier than you."

They were engaged on Valentine's day on February 14, 2022. On February 14, 2022, Jack uploaded a picture on his Instagram account with the caption, "101 days until I marry my valentine."
