Hendon Hooker dad Alan Hooker played quarterback for the North Carolina Aggies in the 80s. Hooker was born and raised in Greensboro.

In recognition of his many contributions, Alan was honored with induction into the esteemed Hall of Fame by the University in 1998. Both his sons are doing their best to recite their father's success.

Hendon Hooker parents are Alan Hooker and Wendy Hooker. Their story began at A&T State University where they first met.

Though Alan and Wendy attended the same high school, Evangel Fellowship, in Greensboro, they got to know each other when they went to North Carolina A&T.

After dating for a while, the pair got married, and their sacred bond of marriage has been preserved for more than 32 years. Alan exposed his two sons, Hendon and Alston, to various sports from a young age.

The NCAA quarterback was four when he started playing football at a local training facility. Besides, he had a massive interest in baseball but later played football. 

Alan Played For A&T State

Alan Hooker was a North Carolina A&T Aggies quarterback during the 80s. He was a star player on his college team, and his hard work eventually paid off in 1998 when he was seated in the Aggies' Hall of Fame.

Two years before the grand prize in 1996, Alan received the Offensive Player of the Year award. 

His success in football had been a source of dignity for him, and he had always yearned to pass on his love for the sport to his kids.

Alan's son, Hendon, was thrilled when he showed an interest in football. Hendon had grown up watching his father's games and had always admired Alan's determination on the field.

Hendon's pop has accepted the job as a leadership development officer within the Houston Independent School District, which has required him to relocate to Houston, Texas, away from his loved ones. 

However, Alan frequently contacts his family via calls and texts. He always has a lengthy conversation with his son Hendon a night before his game about opponents' tactics and how to approach the match.

ESPN captured Hooker's parents, Wendy and Alan, on the stand in one of their boy's NCAA games and shared it on their Instagram in April 2023, reminding all the football fans as the 2023 NFL draft nears.

Wendy Hooker Owns Alabaster Design

Hendon Hooker mom Wendy Hooker owns a design company named Alabaster Design. Wendy is originally from Fayetteville, North Carolina.

She also has some experience in accounting or bookkeeping as well. In addition to her design work, Wendy has handled billing for Wescare Professional Services, a mental health facility, for the past decade.

Hooker attributes much of his success to her mother, Wendy, and describes her as a kind and empathetic figure who instilled in him the drive and determination to pursue his passion for football.

Moreover, Alan and his wife visited Hendon in his apartment in 2020 when he suffered from Covid 19. Since he lived alone, he had no help in those difficult times, so his parents came to take care of him.

Hendon Hooker siblings are Nile Hooker and Alston Hooker. Nile is the eldest of the three born on May 29, 1995.

After completing her academics at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in 2018 with a bachelor's degree in journalism and mass communication, she toiled as a public relations intern at North Carolina A&T State University Athletic Department.

Then she served as a Vice President of Nxlevel Lifestyle & Entertainment Group. In May 2019, Nil became an English teacher at Northeast Guilford High School, where she taught students about grammar and writing skills. 

In Feb 2021, Nil ventured into the social media business and joined the NBA team, Atlanta Hawks, as Social Media Assistant. Moreover, since March 2022, the oldest Hooker sibling has been toling at The Familie.

Alston Hooker Is A College Football Player

Hendon Hooker brother Altson Hooker is a college football quarterback for the North Carolina A&T Aggies.

The 6 feet 1-inch tall athlete is the youngest in the house, born after his elder brother Hendon. Alston replicates his papa's journey, going to A&T to make a name for himself.

Before that, the young stud played in his high school at Dudley and then later joined Ragsdale. Alston acknowledges that his intrinsic instincts and extensive knowledge of the game are hereditary traits passed down from his grandfather to his father Alan and to him and Hendon.

Besides, Alston has an Instagram account of 4.6K followers, where he frequently posts updates about his football pursuits and family life.

Inside Hendon Family Background

Hendon Hooker family has a strong football background that valued faith and hard work. His grandfather Edward Leon Hooker is the first to play football in the clan.

In November 2021, the young NCAA star took it to his socials to announce his first book, "The ABC’s of Scripture for Athletes," dedicated to his late granpa Edward and his teachings about the importance of diligence in life.

The 80-page comic-style biblical reference embedded book also touches on his Christianity aspect.

Before joining Virginia Tech, Hooker played football and basketball for his high school, James B. Dudley High. Along with impressive stats of 6,027 yards passing with 55 touchdowns, he was named NC Preps' All-State Player of the Year and was on the Associated Press All-State team twice.

Hendon scored over 1,000 points in basketball, earning him a three-time All-Metro conference selection. 

Onto his personal life, Hendon does not have a girlfriend and is reportedly single. Buoyed by his determination to succeed, he tends not to digress from his career goals at this point in life.
