EA Sports launched the 'Path to Glory' event for FIFA 23 to promote World Cup 2022.

Fifa 23's 'Path to Glory' will make you lead your chosen player and team to get the World Cup trophy.

It will be a similar experience if you have already played Path to Glory World Cups in the past FIFAs.

You will get a 'Path to Glory' player item which consists of random players that will have played in the World Cup at least once. Then you can play with these chosen football players and upgrade them by playing with them in the World Cup tournament.

The players will get opportunities to get upgrades on their nation's performance. However, these upgrades will happen in real-time and based on the nation's performance, not on the player's performance.

For example, in Qatar's World Cup, if France loses in the Quarter Finals, then our chosen player, Antoine Grizmann, will get upgraded up to the Round of 16 stages. It doesn't matter if Grizmann scored 2 goals in that match.
