Eric Montross wife Laura Leonard is a project manager at The Curated Table. Eric has two kids named Andrew Montross and Sarah Montross.

Montross and Leonard met while attending the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in the early 1990s. They married in 1994, the same year Eric was drafted as the ninth overall pick by the Boston Celtics in the NBA Draft. 

During his professional basketball career, he played for several teams, including the Philadelphia 76ers, Dallas Mavericks, Detroit Pistons, Toronto Raptors, and New Jersey Nets. The former NBA player Eric has a net worth of around $5 million. 

However, his NBA career ended following a foot injury in 2003, but he began to work as a commentator on Taar Heels' sports network. 

A recent statement released in March 2023 stated that the 7-footer from Indianapolis had been diagnosed with cancer and is commencing treatments at the UNC Lineberger Cancer Center.

Eric Montross married wife Laura in an intimate ceremony on 27th August 1994 in Boston. Laura is a proud native of Southern heritage with a charming Southern accent.

She hailed from Lexington, North Carolina, and graduated from the University of North Carolina in 1993. While at UNC, she met her husband, Eric, a former NBA player, hometown hero, and the voice of the Tarheels. 

Eric's job required them to move frequently, and Laura has lived in Boston, Dallas, New Jersey, Philadelphia, Detroit, and Toronto. Despite the challenges of moving often, Laura sees each relocation as an opportunity to explore new cities and make new friends.

Also, Laura and Eric founded the Eric Montross Father's Day Basketball Camp, raising millions of dollars for UNC Children's Hospital. 

Laura is also a founding Co-Chair of the Arts in Action program at Frank Porter Graham Elementary and Co-founder of Raise a Racquet, an annual tennis fundraiser for UNC Children's Hospital, held at The FARM (UNC Faculty-Staff Recreation Association). 

She is a member of the Board of Visitors for UNC Children's Hospital and the Board of Directors for Be Loud! Sophie. In addition to her philanthropic endeavors, Laura is a project manager and stylist at The Curated Table

With over twenty-five years of event planning experience, Laura has assisted in organizing weekend-long events for hundreds of people and small, intimate gatherings. Her specialties include organization and attention to detail.

Also, Laura has always loved sports, nurtured by her father, who taught her the ins and outs of various games. 

She is always eager to talk about sports whenever she gets the opportunity. In 2003, Laura fulfilled a dream by driving a NASCAR at the Charlotte Motor Speedway.

Eric Montross Children

Eric shares two kids named Andrew Montross and Sarah Montross with Laura. 

The former Toronto Raptors Eric and Laura's oldest son, Andrew Montross, was born in Detroit, Michigan on April 25, 1998. He has a younger sister named Sarah, who is 21 years old. 

Andrew and Sarah seem to have a close relationship, as they both attended Carrboro High School and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Andrew Montross has been a Client Success Specialist at Summit Group, LLC, in the Washington DC-Baltimore area since July 2022.

Before this, he worked as a Marketing Intern for Grady-Ahite Boats for almost four months in Greenville, North Carolina.

Andrew completed his Bachelor's degree in Communication and Media Studies and his MBA in Marketing and Entrepreneurship from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

At Carrboro High School, he played lacrosse under Coach Ron Mitchell and was an All-Conference selection. He was also the captain of his team during his senior year and won the Impact Player Award. 

Additionally, he played club lacrosse for Carolina Cannons and Carolina Hilltoppers. Andrew played a vital role in leading his team to their first-ever wins over Orange County rivals and won a state championship.

Andrew's education has helped him develop skills in interpersonal communication, presentation, public speaking, strategic problem-solving, and digital media. 

He has gained valuable experience in marketing strategies, collaboration, and sales through his internships and jobs. Moreover, he is in a relationship with his partner, Megan Bechtel. 

Sarah Montross

Sarah Montross is a part-time respite caregiver at Medicaid in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. She has been working in this role for a year. 

Along with her job, she is also pursuing a bachelor's degree in Health Policy and Management with a minor in Medical Anthropology and Spanish from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

In addition to her academics, Sarah is actively involved in various social clubs such as the Carolina Covid-19 Student Services Corps and UNC English Teaching Program. 

She is also a member of Club Beach Volleyball, where she hones her skills in the sport. Before starting her college year, Sarah was a student at Carrboro High School, per her LinkedIn.

Eric Montross Family Life

Eric Montross family includes his parents Scott Montross and Janice Montross. He grew up in Indianapolis with his younger sister Christine Montross.

Similarly, Montross comes from a family with a strong basketball background. Both his father, Scott, and maternal grandfather, John Townsend, played college basketball for the University of Michigan. 

Scott played in the 1960s and was a teammate of Cazzie Russell, while John was an All-American in the 1930s.

Christine Montross

Christine Montross is an associate professor of psychiatry and a practicing inpatient psychiatrist at Brown University's Warren Alpert Medical School.

Likewise, Montross obtained her undergraduate degrees and a Master of Fine Arts in poetry from the University of Michigan, where she also taught writing classes after graduation. 

Nevertheless, Christine completed her medical school and residency training at Brown University and received the Isaac Ray Award in Psychiatry and the Martin B. Keller Outstanding Brown Psychiatry Resident Award.

Montross has published several poems in literary journals, and her manuscript, Embouchure, was a finalist for the National Poetry Series.
