David Pelletier married new wife Ekaterina Gordeeva in July 2020. David celebrated his first anniversary hiking in the woods.

Pelletier is a professional figure skater from Canada. He is a co-winner of the Gold Medal in the 2002 Winter Olympics Games with his former partner, Jamie Sale.

The Sayabec native started performing at an early age. He was placed 7th in the World Junior Figure Skating Championship in 1992 with his pair Julie Laporte.

As a pair of figure skaters, he and Jamie competed at Skate Canada at the invitation of the Canadian Figure Skating Association.

He grabbed 4th position in the 1995 Canadian Figure Skating Championship under the singles category. Jacques was inducted into Canada's Sports Hall of Fame in 2012.

He retired from competitive skating in 2002. Pelletier now works as a skating coach for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League.

David Pelletier and Ekaterina Gordeeva had a private wedding ceremony on 24 July 2020. The couple now lives in Alberta, Canada.

Ekaterina and Pelletier walked down the aisle for the third time. They both were wed to different partners before committing to each other.

David and Katia had known each other for a long time. They have performed pair elements in many shows after the return of Ekterina in figure skating.

They also performed 'Photograph' together in 2016 for Katia's "From the Heart" show. The couple has been teaching and coaching together since 2016.

They skated in pairs back in 2017. Ekaterina used to live in the U.S. with her daughter, Daria.

She moved to Canada in August after getting married to Pelletier.

They started their relationship as friends and gradually turned it into romance. They toured together for the show, 'Stars on Ice' and 'Battle of Blades.'

David celebrated their anniversary by posting a picture of their rings on his Instagram Handle. They also went hiking to commemorate the moment.

Although they remained discreet about their marriage, they occasionally posted about each other on their social media accounts.

Who is Ekterina Gordeeva?

Ekterina Gordeeva is a former Russian competitive Pair Figure skater.

Katia was born on 28 May 1971 in Moscow, Russia. She started figure skating at an early age.

Her father, Alexander Alexeyevich Gordeeva, was a dancer for the official Army choir in the military. He taught her basic movement and often corrected her mistakes.

Gordeeva started pair dancing with Sergei Grinkov at the age of 11. She won Olympic Championship two times in 1988 and 1994 with him.

She is also a four times world champion in pair figure skating. Ekterina retired from competitive figure skating after the departure of her then-husband, Sergei.

She now works as a figure skating coach at the Ice Palace Figure Skating Club and choreographs the dance. Ekterina also performs for shows and events to raise awareness for heart disease.

She has written two books, "My Sergei: A Love Story" and "A Letter for Daria" and appeared in the film 'Snowden on Ice' and its sequel.

Gordeeva completed her class in nutrition food on 9 February 2022 from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition.

David Pelletier Ex Wife Jamie Sale

Jamie Sale is the first wife of David Pelletier. Jamie is a retired competitive pair figure skater.

Jamie Rae Sale is the champion of the 2001 World Figure Skating Championship. She also won the 2002 Winter Olympic Figure Skating with her former husband, David.

She has also performed as a single skater in Junior Ladies at the Canadian Championship.

Jamie partnered with Pelletier in 1988 and has won fifteen gold medals. They are best known for their performance on "Love Story" and "Orchid."

Jamie and David married on 30 December 2005, a year after their engagement on Christmas Day.

David Pelletier had a son named Jesse Joe with her on September 30, 2007.

Sale was inducted into the Skate Canada Hall of Fame in 2008 alongside David. The Canadian Olympic Hall of Fame also inducted the pair on March 2009.

Rae competed in the two seasons of the Battle of Blades in 2009 and 2010 with partners Craig Simpson and Theoren Fleury respectively. She and David remained pairs in figure skating till 2012.

They were separated in 2009 but they kept their divorce discreet till 2010. She later tied the knot with Craig Simpson in June 2012.

She and Simpson share a daughter named Sammy. They parted ways in 2021 and announced their separation a year later, in 2022.

Jamie is now working as a Life and Motivational Coach. She has been certified by The Life Mastery Institute as a Dream Builder Coach and a Life Mastery Consultant.

She is also a supporter of a Conspiracy Theory.  She voiced out against using Face Masks and Vaccination during the surge of the Covid-19 Global Pandemic.

She and former Ice Hockey player Theo Fleury host an online program, 'The Theo and Jamie Show: Fire and Ice,' where they discuss Canada's political and social issues and advocate for needy people.

David Pelletier is a proud father of a son, Jesse Joe Pelletier. Jesse is a motorcycle racer.

Jesse was born on 30 September 2007 in St. Alberta, Alberta. He was seven pounds during birth.

Unlike other children of the same age, Joe is learning golf, skating, and motorcycle racing. He often goes hiking with his parents in his free time.

He is learning to surf and also practicing Ice hockey. 

Joe has maintained a great relationship with his step-sisters. He and his younger step-sister, Sammy, often spend most of their time together.

Sammy Simpson is in grade two now. She is learning cheerleading and dancing.

Pelletier Has Two Step Daughters 

Joe also has two more step-siblings Elizaveta and Daria. They celebrate festivals and holidays together.

Elizaveta Kulik is a skating coach and Kinesiologist. She operates a fitness and figure skating platform called, FigureFit.

Trained in figure skating for 18 years, she is also certified in NASM Personal Training and has taken training in Soft Tissue Release, injury prevention, and post-injury-return.

Elizaveta performs research on sports and implements them professionally to give the best productivity in sports.

The eldest sibling, Daria Gordeeva is also known as Dasha among her close ones. She is into digital branding and fashion and has printed a cathedral tattoo on her arms and shoulder.

Dasha promotes mental health activism and often openly talk about it on her Instagram post. David is supportive of all his children and shares a close and healthy connection with them.

Ekaterina Was Previously Married

Ekaterina Gordeeva was previously married to Sergei Grinkov. Grinkov was a professional figure skater.

Gordeeva and Grinkov are still famously known as 'G&G' among their fans. They became figure skating partners when they were early teenagers.

Their love story is still appreciated and admired by the people. They were one of the most highly celebrated and talented pairs in figure skating history.

Sergei and Katia have performed together in many competitions and shows. They were the youngest pair ever to win Olympic Gold Medal.

As pair Skaters, they have won World Junior Figure Skating Championship and World Figure Skating Championship. They always secured their position within the Top 3.

They became professional figure skaters in 1990. They were one of the pairs to complete the quadruple twist successfully in a competition.

On 20 April 1991, they held a State wedding, and later on 28 April 1991, they exchanged their vows at a church.

They were blessed with a daughter, Daria Sergeyevna Grinkov, in 1992.

They returned to the Olympics in 1994 and won their second gold medal in pair figure skating. They were also nominated for induction into the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame.

Sergei suffered from a sudden heart attack at 28 on November 1995. They were rehearsing to open the 'Star on Ice' Tour at Lake Placid, New York.

He passed away the same day due to a congenital heart condition.

Katia later wrote a book; 'My Sergei: A Love Story,' where she relived her journey to the ice with Grinkov. She also performed the "Adagietto" section of Gustav Mahler's 'Symphony No. 5', in tribute to her late husband.

Although she returned to the ice, she never performed pair skating as a full-time endeavor. She halted her competitive figure skating journey in 2000.

Gordeeva Second Partner Ilia Kulik

On 10 June 2002, Ekaterina Gordeeva remarried the 1998 Olympic champion Ilia Kulik. They have a daughter, Elizaveta Ilinichna Kulik.

Ilia and Gordeeva also skated a romantic duet during the 1999-2000 'Star on Ice' Tour. They founded Kulik's Skating in 2012 to provide an Ice Rink and a better environment for training in Figure Skating.

The couple announced their separation in 2016.
