David Goggins Family Life and Story Behind How He Grew Up

David Goggins parents are mom Jackie Goggins and dad Trunnis Goggins. David grew up in Buffalo New York where Trunnis had a Skatepark.

Goggins did not have a good childhood. His youth was characterized by anxiety, struggle, and trauma. With a fierce and inebriated father, Goggins struggled to get along with him. He experienced hardships as a child, including prejudice, brutality, and poverty.

He had to put in a lot of effort to get through these challenges and alter his perspective by strengthening his sense of mental toughness, tenacity, and self-discipline.

After escaping from Trunnis, Jackie raised her younger son in a tough neighborhood in Brazil, Indiana.

She ran from her husband to start a new life in a low-income household somewhere else. She found the love of her life there.

While in Buffalo, David was deprived of education as Trunnis had him working all the time. As a result, Goggins had less time and opportunity to focus on his education.

The first thing Jackie did after settling in Indiana was to send them to school. Growing up in poverty and facing financial difficulties were hallmarks of his life. They lived in subsidized housing, and although his mother did her best to support him, they still struggled to make ends meet. 

Despite these obstacles, she was committed to supporting her son. Goggins has frequently discussed the influence of his early life on the development of his perseverance, tenacity, and work ethic.

On Instagram, David posted in December 2016 penning a lengthy caption on what happened to the man her mum Jackie dated. He celebrated Christmas with Wilmoth as his mom was planning to get married and relocate to his place in Indianapolis.

But a few days, a man stopped near his garage and gunned him down. Wilmoth perished away on the spot. 

Trunnis Goggins Was The Owner Of Skateland

Trunnis was a brilliant businessman who owned a skating rink in Buffalo, Skateland. He sadly passed away on 5 November 2013. 

At 79, after a long battle with his undisclosed illness, Trunnis left the world in 2013 at Buffalo General Medical Center. He was born and raised in Buffalo, New York.

With his sharp intellect, Trunnis developed a fatherly reputation in his community.

There were a minimum of 2500 people at his funeral, which shows how much of an impact he had on the locals of Buffalo. Goggins established Skateland in the 60s and operated it for over three decades.

Trunnis began laboring at the age of 9. He used to polish shoes for a living. Then he got a job at a poultry farm before working at an auto repair shop.

Later in his 20s, the older Goggins became's truck delivery boy, initially hauling chickens for processing and subsequently Coca-Cola.

After Jackie left him, he married another woman named Susan A. Greene, with whom he had four daughters, Marina, Terasa, Anita, and Salina.

Goggins grew up with his mum Jackie in Arizona. He has shared his past in the two-part series edition book.

His household was marked by neglect from his father, who was often absent and emotionally unavailable.

Goggins' brother Trunnis II also spoke about how their household was more like a "hell hole" with no family atmosphere or celebrations, as they were treated more like employees or machines.

Goggins' mother did her best to provide for her children and protect them from their dad, but it was still a difficult and traumatic childhood for him.

Turnnis Jr stayed with his patriarch after their parent's separation, while David went to live with Jackie. 

However, his grandpa was a very different character than Trunnis. Before Trunnis grew the company and made it well-known around Buffalo, his business-savvy mind had a role in uplifting the Goggins clan.

The premature demise of Kayla, the daughter of David's brother, was another tragic event. Kayla was joyful, affectionate, and full of heart.

David Goggins is now engaged to his new girlfriend Kish. The two have been together for a while, and she has supported him morally and mentally.

She enthusiastically endows him in all of his endeavors and promotes his marathon, health, and fitness campaign in addition to playing the stereotypical role of his fiance.

Who Is Jennifer Kish?

Jennifer is an executive director currently employed at her partner company, Goggins LLC based in New York. 

David's future wife Kish has mastered strategic planning, money management, and business development. Her Linkedin writes she has been working as an executive director since 2006.

For two and half years, from 2006 to 2009, Kish worked as an ED, marketing head, and wealth manager at a multinational investment bank, UBS.

Then for eight years, she served as the CEO of The 100 Mile Group, where she had a crucial part in building and enforcing various marketing campaigns suitable for clients.

After Jennifer met David, she left the 100 Mile Group and began operating at Goggins LLC. It has been more than five years since she started working as the company's lead in October 2017.

She joined Morgan Stanley in 1997 and worked there in several positions throughout her seven years of service in the organization. Afterward, Jenn moved to Princeton, New Jersey, as she was appointed the vice president of marketing at Merill Lynch in 2004.

David Goggins marriage with his ex wife Aleeza Goggins lasted for two years before they parted ways in 2007.

According to the Sun, David was in a long-term relationship with her. She is a nurse from Japan and they had a wedding in 2005.

In 2007, the couple had a divorce. During their short time together, they did not have any children. However, David reportedly has a daughter from his previous relationship with Pam.

A Reddit user uploaded a post to give an insight into the relationship between David and his little girl Jade. She said that David had nothing to do with how she was raised and that she lived with her mother, Pam.
