Christian Laettner wife Lisa Thibault studied at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. Christian married Lisa in 1996 and had 3 children.

Known as "The Shot," Laettner is known for his historic wins as a former basketball player. He played with Duke Blue Devils and won the NCAA player of the year in his senior year.

Being recruited by Coach K way before the arrival of current head coach Jon Scheyer, he transformed the Devils' basketball fame.

Christain later pursued an NBA career from 1992 to 2005 for 13 seasons. He became an All-Star in 1997. 

He is gearing up to welcome his son to the pro basketball field very soon. Thus, the Laettner clan remains a notable name in the basketball scenario.

Christian Laettner Had A Wedding In 1996

Christian Laettner married his former girlfriend Lisa Thibault in 1996. The two remain separated coming into 2023.

Though Lisa continues to go by her married name, her Facebook confirms that she is single. The mom of three has refrained from sharing any bits about the breakup with her NBA spouse.

She has resorted to posting on social media about her happy times, especially her travel and dining routes around Florida.

Lisa hails from Mound, Minnesota, where she attended Westonka Senior High School. She currently works as an independent arts and crafts professional.

The former NBA WAG is based in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida. She celebrates her birthday on February 2 yearly, which she usually does with her three kids.

Sommer Laettner

Sommer Laettner is the youngest daughter and the middle child of the basketball star. She was born on February 23, 1999.

She shares similar interests with her elder sister since they were cheerleaders for their school's team. Lisa's old posts confirm that the two sisters enjoyed visiting the beaches.

Sommer has grown up to be a conscious activist. She donates to green peace charities monthly and often shares fundraisers for good.

Tor Laettner

Tor was born on March 10, 2006, making him the youngest in the household. He currently plays basketball for the TWolves.

He plays as a forward center and is in tenth grade. The TWolves plays in the NBA E and Blue Chip Jr NBA leagues as a future pro prospect.

The young star in making often appears on his mom's social media posts, where he enjoys the best moments while he is out with her. Meanwhile, he has refrained from using social media as of 2023.

Christian Laettner Family Life

Christian Laettner was born to parents George Laettner and Bonnie Laettner. His father was a newspaper press plant printer.

Meanwhile, George was of Polish heritage. Similarly, his mother, Bonita "Bonnie" Turner, was born in Toronto to Polish and Ukrainian parents.

She lost her father in the Spanish Army during World War II. Hence, she, her mother, and her brother moved to Buffalo in 1950.

Bonnie worked as a teacher and was notable for her outspoken thoughts on her son's basketball career. However, she passed away unexpectedly in her winter home in Fort Mill in November 2017 at 74.

Christian has an elder brother Christopher with whom he grew up in Angola, New York. The two brothers worked as farm laborers to aid their allowance as kids.

Christopher has been described as a strong influence in his younger kin's upbringing due to his competitive personality. The two remain close even to this day.

Meanwhile, besides his work of coaching young athletes, The Shot is a dedicated muskellunge fisherman. He has passed down his hobby to Tor, and the two often go out fishing.
