Chip Caray Daughter Summerlyn Caray and Glimpse Into A Baseball Family

Chip Caray married wife Susan Caray on April 6, 1996. Chip and Susan have been together for more than two decades.

In April 2022, Chip took to his Facebook wall to wish his better half on the prestigious occasion of their 26th wedding anniversary. 

Caray took a nostalgic trip down memory lane, highlighting the memorable moments of his married life by sharing pictures showcasing his romantic journey with his beloved partner and a heartfelt desire for another 26 years of love, laughter, and happiness.

The comment section is flooded with many of his well-wishers congratulating them on achieving the milestone. The two sweethearts dated for a few years before they got entangled in holy matrimony. 

The year 2021 held an extra special significance for the jubilant couple, as it marked the 25th anniversary of their marriage, a silver jubilee that called for a grand celebration.

On Chip's birthday, Susan dedicated a lengthy post on Facebook wishing her man a warm and heartfelt birthday along with some photographs to remember by.

Who Is Susan Caray?

Susan was born Susan Eyerly Caray in Orlando, Florida. She moved to Saint Augustine Beach after tying the knot with her husband Chip and settled there.

She spent her entire childhood in Orlando with her brother Daniel Eyerly. The two siblings went together to a public institution in their hometown, Boone High School.

Later after graduating, Susan attended Clemson University and completed her bachelor's degree in 1985. Moreover, she continued academics and joined Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida, earning a Master's diploma in 1989.

Susan had several minor stints before landing a job at Lifemax International, a multi-national healthcare company, in October 2010. She worked there for three years till 2013.

Later, Susan accepted a position at Wrappunzel by Summerlyn Designs in October 2019 and has been a part of the entity since.

Chip Caray has four children including three boys and a beautiful baby girl. Summerlyn is the eldest whereas Tristan is the youngest of the brood. 

A year after Chip and Susan exchanged vows, the couple welcomed their first baby Summerlyn Leigh Caray on November 11, 1997. Susan is one proud mother of Summerlyn.

On her 25th birthday in November 2022, Mrs. Caray dropped several of Summerlyn's modeling pictures expressing her love and pride for her baby girl.

Susan also acknowledges that Summerlyn's current work on set in LA is an exciting and fulfilling experience and wishes that she could be with her on this special day.

Soon after, Chip and Susan welcomed twins, Christopher and Stefan on November 8, 1999.

Chip Caray Has Three Sons

Caray's sons Christopher and Stefan have preserved their generations-long family heritage of being baseball broadcasters.

The twins have shared the same life journey to pursuing careers as sports television broadcasters is a remarkable one.

Growing up, Chris and Stefan attended the same school,  St. Augustine High School. The duo pursued sports broadcasting careers inspired by their father and grandfather's on-air success.

After completing their education, the twins embarked on their professional journey together, working in the same industry and often covering the same events.

Later, Chris and Stefan, both 23, enrolled at the University of Georgia, and upon graduation, they began their professional stint as sportscasters for Amarillo Sod Poodles. 

The summer of 2021 was an exciting time for the Cape Cod League. Two brothers lent their broadcasting skills to the Cotuit Kettleers, bringing their unparalleled expertise and enthusiasm to the games and enriching the experience for all who tuned in.

Chip is extra proud of both, who have continued their family legacy and became the fourth generation of the Caray clan to be television announcers.

He also recalls being unable to be around them for half of their lives because of his busy professional schedule. Susan was responsible for raising all their young ones since Chip was not home most of the time.

Stefan penned an emotional message on Mother's Day in May 2022 with several pictures of Susan on his Facebook.

In this heartfelt note, he conveyed his gratitude and appreciation for her. He thanked her for always being there for him and his sibling, from attending their sports tournaments to supporting their broadcasting careers. 

Stefan acknowledges the example his mother set in instilling the values of kindness, love, and compassion in them and credits her for helping him achieve his dream of becoming a TV broadcaster.

Youngest of all, Tristan was born on November 19, 2008. Similar to the rest of his older siblings, the 14-year-old has also shown athletic traits and a mindset. He plays baseball at his school.

Summerlyn Caray is a model, actress, and musician from Orlando, Florida. She has been modeling for Wilhelmina and LA Models.

Before this, she spent a year as an Executive Recruiter and Research Consultant at Raines International. She used her expertise to identify and recruit top talent for various industries, including technology and SaaS.

Moreover, according to her Linkedin, Summerlyn also worked as a Research Analyst at Bespoke Partners, where she gained valuable research skills and industry insights. 

Outside of her professional work, Caray was an active member of the Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Club at the University of San Diego and also worked as a Campus Tour Guide and Ambassador, where she held leadership positions and organized events.

Additionally, the 25-year-old beauty gained valuable customer service experience as a Food Server at Blanco and True Food Kitchen. 

Her academic background is impressive as her personality with a focus on International Business and proficiency in Mandarin Chinese.

Summerlyn earned her Bachelor's degree from the Knauss School of Business at the University of San Diego, where she majored in International Business and minored in Chinese language and culture. 

Caray's education also included a study abroad program in Rome, Italy, as part of the International Business core curriculum at John Cabot University. 

After completing her academics, Summerlyn relocated to Los Angeles to pursue her dream career in the entertainment world. Her IMDb page two credits of her acting, the 2019 TV series and the movie titled "I Am Here Now."

Chip Caray was born to his parents Skip Caray and Lila Haberberger. His mom Laila and dad Skip were divorced when he was five years old.

With a father who has enjoyed a distinguished career as an MLB sportscaster and his granddad who has achieved renown and success as an American television announcer, Chip was destined to ride the coattails.

However, his childhood did not go well as many have thought. Lila raised him in St. Louis while Skip left the family and moved to Atlanta. 

Growing up, Chip had minimal interaction with his father and had no idea who his grandfather was. Despite coming from broadcasting brood, Harry III has the foundation to lean on and built his legacy from scratch.

Talk about destiny, Chip ended up working alongside Skip.

Joining the Atlanta Braves broadcasting staff proved to be a turning point for Caray, where he was allowed to work with his father and reconcile the voids of his past, resulting in a profound sense of fulfillment and a special bond with him.

On the other hand, Caray's half-brother Josh is also a sports commentator currently serving as a Director of Broadcasting and announcer in Minor League Baseball. 

He began her professional path in the broadcasting line in 2005 and worked his way up to the top. Josh's broadcasting expertise extends to the University of Alabama, where he skillfully calls various women's sports, such as basketball, baseball, softball, soccer, gymnastics, and volleyball.
