Chad Ramey has a new caddie Ryan Goble for The Players tour in 2023. Goble has previously worked with big names like Will Zalatoris.

They have paired up for the 2023 golf season, starting with the Sentry Tournament of Champions. The tournament was held at the Kapalua Golf Resort, Kapalua, Hawaii, in January 2023.

While Ramey had turned pro in 2014, his breakthrough win only came in 2022 with the PGA Tour at the Corales Puntacana Championship.

On the other hand, Ryan has a handful of experience running around the golf course, accompanying youth. Ramey will have a real crack in The Players 2023 alongside incoming young talents like Nico Echavarria and Kurt Kitayama.

Chad Ramey Has A New Caddy In 2023

Chad Ramey's new caddy Ryan Goble is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area. He was a star guard on the Redwood High School basketball team.

Goble is 50 years old in 2023 and has tons of experiences to offer in the course.

Ryan then played basketball for two seasons at College of the Sequoias and later transferred to Central Michigan for a year. He captained the COS team and led the Giants to the quarterfinals of the state tournament.

He later attained his undergraduate studies at UCLA with a degree in History. As their head coach, the future caddy also led the Exeter High boys' basketball team to a Division III league championship in the 1992-93 season.

Ryan then worked as a manager at Mulligan Golf Center in Torrance.

Goble also worked at a driving range in LA when fellow UCLA head coach Brad Sherfy got him a job at UCLA as its golf coach. Ryan had caddied for Brad in the past.

UCLA confirmed that their head coach was 30 years old when he started his fifth season as the Bruins' assistant golf coach of the men's team.

He was mainly responsible for recruiting players, including fundraising, monitoring UCLA Golf Camp, and the players' academic progress.

His two recruits, Spencer Levin and John Merrick made it to the Tour, where he started caddying. Merrick's agent suggested Ryan caddy for Will, which prompted his successful career.

The 50-year-old attained fame during his time with Zalatoris in 2019 due to his decade-long experience in the field. He is holding the bag for Ramey in The Players 2023 with a lead over Collin Morikawa.

Ryan Goble Is Will Zalatoris Best Friend

Ryan Goble started working with Will Zalatoris in 2019 after he spent eight years as a PGA Tour caddy. Will played in Korn Ferry Tour events during that time.

While Ryan had initially missed two opportunities to accompany Will that year, the third meet finally made them buddies. Ryan was impressed by young Will's growing talents and decided to stay with him despite the financial challenges.

Being a Korn Ferry caddy fetched only $150 a week, not covering his commodities and food for the weekend.

Zalatoris' win at the 2022 FedEx St. Jude Championship made their professional bond grow stronger than ever. Likewise, the 26-year-old also boasts three runner-up finishes in major championships.

Things went well between them until he fired his "best friend" Ryan following the second round of the Wyndham Championship.

Will explained that the two had a rough month, affecting their relationship. Coach Josh Gregory filled in Wyndham's third round.

Will and Ryan have moved on from their split and found the right partners for the 2023 season.

Ryan Goble Net Worth

Ryan Goble is a veteran PGA caddy with a net worth of $100 thousand. Goble now works with Chad Ramey in 2023.

He has more than a decade of experience in his field, having looked after John Merrick, Spencer Levin, Michael Thompson, K.H. Lee, and Zalatoris.

With Chad's professional win count of 2, one at Korn Ferry and the other at PGA Tour, Ryan's chances to grab more bonuses in the future remain intact.

Goble has refrained from making a presence in the media, limiting fans from getting through his earnings.

The Californian is enjoying his time at The Players Championship on The Players Stadium Course at TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, as of March 2023.
