Eric Scott Esch is a five-time World Toughman Heavyweight Champion. He is a retired professional boxer, kickboxer, mixed martial artist, and wrestler.
Interestingly, his nickname came after he only went on a chicken and butterbeans diet. He had to meet the Toughman 400-pound weight limit to fight in the ring.
Esch made his professional boxing debut in 1994 and is continuing it. He retired from wrestling in 2012, MMA in 2016, and kickboxing in 2009.

Both were teenagers when they decided on a marriage that had lasted nearly four decades. Esch calls Libby the kindest, greatest person and his best friend.
Her nickname is Grandma Libby. His Facebook status from the early 2010s shows that Libby always loved making him breakfast.
The couple has a family business selling boxes of hand-made razors from alligator jaw bones and ink pens made from deer antlers.
Besides, the Esch couple looks after their restaurant in Jasper, Alabama. The two closed a restaurant previously due to Esch's continuous traveling.

Butterbean eldest son Brandon is a former wrestler. He fought as Babybean from 2008 to 2010 and is six feet tall and 37 years old.
His career was cut short after he lost all three matches in three years.
Babybean first fought Courtney Pollard on May 17, 2008, and lost via TKO punches at The Fight Guys-Boxing and MMA. Sherdog confirms that his second bout was against John Hook on December 11, 2009, via TKO.
The following year on July 9, he lost to Billy Marcel via TKO due to kicks to the body and punches. As of 2023, he works as a Sales & Leasing Consultant at Bill Penney Toyota of Jasper.
He is married to Ashley Higginbotham Esch, and they have six children.
Caleb Esch Is The Younger One
Caleb joined his dad and elder bro in the professional MMA world and debuted on June 26, 2009. He lost the bout to Andrew Knapp due to submission.
On September 19, the same year, he faced Jason Painter but lost again. His third fight against Justin Stricklin on December 11 is the only win of his career.
Caleb then submitted to Jacob Quick on July 9, 2010, at Mad Max Entertainment - The Lion and His Pride.
The last fight of his career was on December 10 of the same year. He took on Danny Surface but lost to the latter's punches.
Caleb now owns Alabama GOLD & Jewelry store in Jasper. Moreover, he is a father of two with his girlfriend, Amy Morgan.
Daughter Grace Esch
Grace is the only daughter and the youngest child of Eric and Libby. She currently works as the Bartender Manager at Mr. Beans BBQ.

Inside the Esch Family Life
Butterbean has an extended family with his three kids and ten grandchildren. All members gather in the main house during the holiday season.
The Eschs do not miss any Christmas celebrations as a big clan.
Their eldest granddaughter Ava, Brandon's baby girl, is an artistic gymnast on her school team. The elderly Esch couple had attended Ava's performance in December 2022 to cheer for her.
Similarly, the whole Eschs live near Libby's sister Amy. The two families attend each other's parties and even go out for dinner most of the time.
Where Is Butterbean Living Now?
Butterbean has been living in his Jasper home in Alabama since he was 11. He was married and had children there.
Eric moved around the U.S. for shows and events during his active fighting career. He is currently looking after his restaurant with Libby and Grace as of 2023.
Besides his occasional fighting day, making bone pens, and looking after the restaurant, Eric is an active reserve deputy sheriff.
In August 2011, he starred in the documentary "Big Law: Deputy Butterbean" on the Investigation Discovery channel. The show did not return for a second season.
Moreover, his latest TV sighting was on Celebrity Family Feud, hosted by Steve Harvey. He appeared on the September 22, 2022, episode "The Cast of Jackass."
