It was their first meeting, and they were later set up on a date by their pals. Walking on the beach, Rost and Daugherty had a normal conversation about their living.

Brad didn't tell her about his career in the NBA; instead, he said he hung out with his racing friends and worked on their cars.

When Rost expressed her feelings for the new guy in her life, she received conflicting counsel from her father, who advised her to forget the man without a steady job, while her mother encouraged her feelings for him.

They had been dating for months, but Heidi had no idea what Brad did for a living.

Heidi confessed to The Baltimore Sun that she learned about Brad from a stranger next to her seat on a flight to North Carolina to meet her family.

Nevertheless, instead of a gift for Christmas 1996, Brad penned a five-page love letter full of emotions, reliving all the beautiful occasions they experienced and expressing how much he loves her.

Brad and Heidi have already parted ways. She divorced Brad and remarried to Kevin Geagan, a resident of Asheville, NC.
