Lepistu progressed through the Flora youth system before joining the Esiliiga team Warrior on loan for the 2009 season. He made his Meistriliiga debut on May 21, 2013, and earned his first title in the 2015 season.
In addition, Manager Arno Pijpers appointed Lepistu as club captain in February 2017, and he won his second Meistriliiga title that season. Later, he agreed to terms with Norwegian Eliteserien club Kristiansund on a two-and-a-half-year contract on December 20, 2017, per ERR Sports.
